In order to get my daughter home from the state school she was Living in I had to have a provider. Which all I knew they were there for support reasons only, like help finding doctors, etc. All the sudden surprise its foster care. What does this have to do with the Erwin law firm. Well the provider announced we weren't allowed to restrain her when she tries to hurt herself or others. That I was supposed to call 911, and they were to take her to the ER, have a psyche evaluation and possibly hospitalization at a psyche hospital. Nope, the police started arresting her left and right. And yes I do have documents that says I'm required to call 911. Well Mr. Erwin seemed like an amazing solution , at least I thought so. Not only did he not want to see the documents I had in her behavior report from the provider. He took my daughter's case manager, which was totally clueless because she was new to the judge to speak with him. She even told us she felt out of place and that she felt it was wrong he took her and not me. Especially because I could explain everything. Well the provider of course put my daughter in a group home and now I can't see my baby girl. Which btw she did the same thing at home there and she was put in the hospital for her meds. I even have text messages proving I had tried contacting her nurse to see the psychiatrist because her meds not working good. Now she has left the company. Dis he bother to speak with her or see my documents. Nope. Just blew me off. Until he finally emailed me and told me the judge ordered her not to speak with me or contact me in any way possible. Mt daughter had the mentality of a four year old and she isnt going to understand why mommy and Santa didnt bring her gifts. So my opinion, if he is go6to fight hard for his clients he should fight for all of them. I even spoke to him about speaking to the judge numerous times and nothing. So if you have a case he might fight for you as long as you are not a mentally disabled adult. Shame on you Mr Erwin. I put my trust in you, if I know this what I know how I would have let you not even near my daughter and hired someone who would have fought for my daughter. Even if you're court appointed to us, I was praying every day you would help her out. And the provider knew I was leaving them and they got exactly what they wanted, more money. I guess if we had money to pay you , maybe you would have cared more about fighting for my daughter. I was on the road to getting her real help and you allowed the system to tear a family apart. This law firm is, without exaggeration, the worst legal experience I have ever had, and in my…read moreopinion they completely failed me as clients, professionals, and human beings. I hired them in 2024 for two MTAGS and again in March 2025, I was trusting them with my freedom during a very serious two engage in criminal activity also two aggravated assault cases. While I was incarcerated, they did absolutely nothing of value for my defense. No motions were filed. No bond reduction hearing was requested despite my repeated demands. I was told that doing their actual job would "make the DA and judge mad," which is an outrageous excuse for pure laziness and fear. I was pressured to accept a 15-year prison sentence without ever being shown discovery, evidence, or any meaningful explanation of my case. Not once did the main attorneys come see me in jail. Communication was so bad that my mother had to relentlessly call, text, and leave voicemails just to get basic updates. The ONLY attorney who ever came to see me while I was locked up has since left the firm and is now a District Attorney sitting next to the OTHER District Attorney's in court. Let that sink in. While I was incarcerated and vulnerable, the person representing me is now literally on the other side of the courtroom. In my opinion, I was misled, lied to, and strung along while my life was on the line. After I bonded out, I immediately hired a competent lawyer who removed this firm from my case something that should tell you everything about the quality of representation I received. When I requested a refund for the complete lack of work done, I was met with intimidation instead of accountability. During an in-person meeting, they pulled out a paper invoice that they conveniently "created," showed it to me briefly, and then REFUSED to let me take a copy with me. I was told they would email it later, which felt extremely shady and unprofessional. To make matters worse, I was then threatened with a potential $7,000 charge simply for hiring another lawyer "without notifying them," despite the fact they had already failed to represent me in any meaningful way. Instead of addressing my concerns, I was told to "go to the state bar," and was even told they've been through this exact situation with "plenty of clients" before which speaks volumes about how this firm operates. In my opinion, this firm takes money, does little to nothing for their clients, avoids responsibility, and then attempts to bully or intimidate clients who question them. The level of dishonesty, incompetence, and disregard for a client's freedom is shocking. I trusted this firm during one of the darkest times of my life, and they completely abandoned their duty to represent me. If you value your case, your money, or your future, do yourself a favor and stay as far away from this law firm as possible.

Takes your money and he won't even know your name OR your charge... not even by the third meeting. True story. Promises actions and can't remember at the next court date what he told you. Paid several thousands of dollars and found out at a hearing that he was "representing" 2 others as a court ordered lawyer, of which he knew their information much better than a paid client. In other words - I got a worse outcome than if I just would have gone with a court ordered lawyer (probably would have been him anyways). Either way would have been screwed. Best advice I can give is to go watch the lawyer you are thinking of hiring in front of a judge and a few other lawyers and see how he interacts with them. This guy was the laughing joke of the courtroom. No one respected him there - didn't take but one time to know that ... but had mistakenly paid already. Next advice don't pay all upfront for any lawyer, but don't pay him at all!!
