My new favorite Dentist in KTown!…read more After a lackluster experience with K-Town Dentist, I was in search of a new dentist in my area and came across Premiere Dental. I came here for a basic cleaning/check-up and was very satisfied with my overall experience. When I first got there they had me fill out basic new patient paperwork outside (they were limiting the number of people inside the clinic for covid safety), and when they were ready for me they took me inside. I started off with X-Rays, and then the Dentist examined my teeth and then talked me through all the results. He was very friendly, had excellent bedside manner, and he didn't try and upsell me on any needless treatments which I readily appreciated. Afterwards, they did my cleaning and everything went as smooth as could be. I think I was the only patient in the office at that time and I truly felt like everyone was being very attentive and courteous to my needs. I should also note that Premiere Dental is very friendly to non-Korean speakers. I've been to several dentists in Koeatown and while the service itself is fine, more often than not, the administrative staff who work the front office tend to not have the best English and I feel like it's hard for them to understand me. This isn't a dig by any means since most Korean businesses in Ktown obviously cater to the Korean community, but as a non-Korean speaking Asian myself, I have to admit that I do appreciate local businesses where I can actually communicate with the staff without feeling like a total outsider. Lastly, parking here is super easy, and they will validate your parking in the building's garage.

Because my dental costs became extremely expensive at that time. Back then, a male dentist at my usual clinic did my inlay and composite fillings. While he was very meticulous with my right molars, but it felt like he just rushed through the left ones. Ever since, my left molars kept bothering me, and even after getting an inlay, they still don't feel right lately. That's why I decided to look for a new clinic. Another major reason for leaving my old dentist was that during an inlay procedure a year or two years ago, they literally shaved down my old gold teeth without even asking for my permission! When I realized it later and demanded they give it back, they initially claimed they couldn't find it. Since I was a long-time regular, they called back later saying they found it--but honestly, it didn't look like my gold tooth at all. For these reasons, I had been looking for a new and trustworthy dental office. Recently, I saw a lot of recommendations on social media for Yonsei Dental Clinic. I called last week to book a teeth cleaning (scaling), but since I'm only available on Saturdays, she told me that Saturdays were completely booked until December of this year. And, she said she'd let me know if there was a cancellation, so I left my name and number. Then last Friday afternoon, Yonsei Dental called and asked if I could come the next morning, Saturday, May 16th, at 10:00 AM. I said yes and went last Saturday. I've been to several dental clinics before, but this was the first place where the dentist personally did the cleaning. The male dentist was kind and very thorough during the cleaning. One thing, though -- because my mouth is very small and it was difficult to see inside, he put some kind of device ( mouth-widening gadget ) in my mouth before starting. Because of that device, I kept swallowing water throughout the whole cleaning process, which was kind of annoying. The cleaning price here was more reasonable compared to other places, and the dentist was extremely kind. The front desk staff were also friendly. However, the female staff member who took the X-rays wasn't especially friendly. People on social media kept saying this clinic is honest, kind, and very thorough with patients, and I can say I agree with that. The dentist was good. Overall, I totally agree with the social media reviews saying this place is honest, kind, and meticulous. cf) The inlays and composite fillings ended up costing me thousands of dollars. Sometimes you might casually drink sugary beverages, whether it's a free sample at Costco or a drink you mindlessly order at a restaurant. However, I absolutely do not recommend it. Based on my experience, you will ultimately end up trading a cheap or free drink for thousands--or even tens of thousands--of dollars in dental bills.
