When I moved to New Jersey about a year and a half ago, I needed to find a good dentist. Dr…read more Santos came highly recommended by a friend and he did not disappoint. From start to finish he explains exactly what he is doing during the appointment. He uses "the wand" which is numbing the area without using the traditional needle injection. It works like a charm, did not feel any pain. The office staff is polite and efficient. I am taken promptly at the time of my appointment. Overall, I am extremely pleased. I highly recommend Dr. Santos.

If I could give Dr. Santos 10 stars, I would! To say his services were exemplary and he went above…read moreand beyond is an enormous understatement. Let me start by saying I was on vacation in Atlantic City over this past weekend and developed a bad toothache on Friday. On Saturday morning, the pain was unbearable so I started calling dentists in the area to see if they could fit me in for an emergency appointment. I left Dr. Santos' office a voicemail and he immediately called me back from his cell phone. We discussed my situation - terrible tooth pain and more than likely an abscess...and most notably, my intense FEAR of going to the dentist due to a terrible experience I had some time ago with oral surgery. Dr. Santos was actually out of state but offered to see me when he returned to NJ in the afternoon. He called in an antibiotic to a pharmacy that he found close to my hotel in Atlantic City and then told me he'd call me when he was close to his office in NJ. He was so reassuring in his words and his subsequent texts throughout the day - he assured me I'd be fine and able to enjoy the rest of vacation. To have that reassurance throughout the day meant the world to me - he even texted me during the day with his ETA. :-) I was anxious but IMMEDIATELY felt I was in good hands with Dr. Santos when we met at his office that afternoon. He actually opened his closed office for me - a random patient from NY who has never even seen him! Who does that?! Dr. Santos, that's who! He made me feel so relaxed - and most importantly, there was absolutely NO PAIN when he examined me nor during the subsequent tooth extraction. I can't emphasize enough how he allayed all my fear and anxiety...talking me through the procedure and keeping me calm. Did I mention it was PAIN-FREE?! His follow-up aftercare was impeccable as well. He also texted me several times in response to questions I had. It is now 3 days later and I feel amazing and best of all, NO PAIN. It is not every day you come across someone as special as Dr. Santos - especially a professional who would take time out of his weekend to open his office to see a patient he never treated. I couldn't wait to share my experience with others to highlight what a special person he is. Dr. Santos now has a former dentist-adverse patient for life! I am happy to travel from New York from now on to have the amazing personalized care he provides! :-)

I had a child get braces and Dr. Elliott was great during the process. After the braces were removed, it was noticed that the root of one of my child's teeth was fractured and there was tooth root resorption, most likely caused by the constant adjustment of the braces. The only reason for the braces was one of the teeth was crooked and this was the tooth that was affected. Cost my thousands of dollars to have the tooth removed and my child still needs an implant. I was told Dr. Elliott would call me and the phone still hasn't rung. I also saw Dr. DeMilt for a filling on one tooth. He mentioned I had another tooth that had a leaky filling. When I asked if I needed another appointment, I was told that there were no notes to that effect and they would look at my next cleaning. A few months later, I needed a root canal. I mentioned this to Dr. Yury, who was going to research this but I never heard back from him. This place has cost me thousands of dollars in extra care and does not want to take responsibility. This place is horrendous.

I was very happy after my first visit. I am having the same issues as others who have posted…read morereviews, with overcharging and double billing After paying $2062. out of pocket, after insurance. I received the Dental Plan reimbursement from my Insurance and the total amount billed was $2173. I have a 50% payment for covered services. The charge for $1450 was denied by my insurance because the billing specialist listed the procedure as " unspecified " . After explaining the procedure to my insurance, I was told the procedure should have been covered, except they weren't given the correct info. After all this I received a bill in the mail yesterday from Aspen Dental for $856.00. I called the office to inquire about the bill. I was very angry as you could imagine. I explained how I had the reimbursement from the Insurance, then explained the amount the insurance company told me they received. The insurance also told me they paid Aspen Dental and that the check had already cashed. The receptionist kept insisting no payment had been received and I still owed $856. I started to lose my composure, so as a precaution I hung up the phone, before losing it. Now the receptionist is refusing to take my calls and won't speak to the insurance company. I have had issue with several Dentists throughout my entire life. I carefully chose Aspen Dental, first because they have a on premise lab. That alone was a big plus. At this point, I have been blocked from communicating because the receptionist couldn't deal with my anger. If she were in my shoes I could guarantee she would be very upset. I am currently under a doctor's care, and take medication for anxiety. Perhaps, in her circumstance she would have handled it better. On the other hand I have panic attacks and start to lose control. That is why I hung up the phone before I had a full on panic attack. They haven't had a billing specialist since April 20th. Now I don't even know what to do. I'm in the middle of treatment and I've been waiting over a month for a billing specialist to devise a plan. Frustrated beyond belief.

The only positive sign was I was taken on time. 2 - I was taken in this room where you stand for your x-rays, there is no privacy as people walk back & forth watching you get x-rays like a freak show as your standing there with your mouth wide open. 3 - The technician could not get the mouth pieces in correctly; I was extremely uncomfortable & in tears from the pain as she could not figure out how to correctly fit them in my mouth. 4 - Now the hygienist comes in, scans my mouth, tells me I have to make another appt for "deep cleaning," and "it only costs $3000 to straighten my teeth & and this practice is the CREM DELA CREM." LMAO!! 5 - Now here comes the dentist who is explaining to me how horrible my teeth are and trying to sell me to wear something in my mouth, may be a night guard but honestly could not understand him. 6 - After the 2 hrs of torture, now they want me to sit with the insurance lady to review what my insurance will cover. I told them I have to leave, just freaking ridiculous, worse than car sales! And to top it off, she says I will call you Monday, never heard from her. 7 - End result, I had my X-rays forwarded to a real dental practice, go somewhere else!

Why am I responsible to pay lab bills when they made so many mistakes. She should have made sure I had a good fitting partial. I wrote her a letter stating my feelings and she just ignored it. No class at all. Now I am paying another dentist for the partial I paid her for.
