This is an update to my original review. I wondered why I could not find many reviews on David Flory. Let me tell you my experience, after I posted my initial review my fiancé was sent a letter by David Flory's attorney requesting that the review be taken off of yelp. So first let me start off my saying that this review has no way been influenced by my fiancé nor does he know that I am responded. I think its ridiculous that David Flory's attorney sent a letter addressing some of the issues but not the full incident. First of all I had to tell Hannah that we would get a real estate attorney to help her move on terminating the contract.
Although I am a professional I have to say that David Flory "sucks." My fiancé listed his house with David Flory which only lasted about two months. There were two failed showings and one after my fiancé and the David Flory team verbally agreed to terminate.
After one of the showings. I called the agent who told me that she had to cancel because the alarm went off, however David Flory and his team could not be located to turn the alarm off. The same agent had a family who was interested but David Flory's team never followed up with the agent to find out if there was anything that could be done. Let me add that we have never met David Flory and although there was been numerous complaints from my fiancé and myself he has not responded to the emails. Actually my fiancé spoke to someone who identify themselves as David Flory but later he found it was not the case.
As I digress, my fiancé was promised "open houses" as the house is in a location that would go unnoticed by the average buyer. However, when I called and spoke to his agent Hannah, told me, "ma'am this is ReMax, do you think we need to do open houses to sell a house?" Not exactly sure what that meant. In the beginning of this nightmare my fiancé was repeatedly sent information regarding someone else' house. We got showings notification on a house with a different address, paperwork was sent on a different house, and information was giving to my fiancé on a house that was not his. I guess that agent didn't work out and was fired or she quit. No one told him. H called the after a week or two since his original agent was not responding to emails. At that point he was told that his new agent Hannah was taking over his listing.
Soon after that my fiancé contacted the office again because Hannah was not communication. Supposedly she was told to start calling with updates once a week. During a conversation in which I spoke to Hannah she told me that she had no time to call and update my fiancé on the house because she is busy marketing the house. I inferred that she meant either I market the house or I call and update you. Mind you there was never any evidence that she had even been out to see the house in person. The following weekend my fiancé spoke to someone who said they were David Flory, he promised that he would market the house himself and that by end of the week we would have a new appraisal and at least one showing's entire week went by with no communication until my fiancé sent an email recapping their integrity, poor communication, and lack of marketing. At that point he was told that it was not David Flory that he spoke to the week prior promising to market the house it was another person from the office named, Chris. At this point we are wondering if David Flory really exists.
The following Friday I went to what I thought was the David Flory office to get them to send over the paperwork to terminate the contract. Since when my fiancé spoke to them they were supposed to be sending it over. When I got to the place which was the address that I found on-line it was not David Flory's office it was another ReMax. I was told that they receive their mail there and no one from the David Flory team works in the office. The nice receptionist called David Flory's office and got their address for me. At that point the receptionist put Hannah on the phone so that I could speak to her. I told her I was coming and that if she didn't cancel the contract I would go by a real estate attorney before I headed over to the office. Hannah's response, "what do you people want?" I yelled and said, "for you to cancel the contract." Well to make another long story short, I never had to go into the actual David Flory office because Hannah sent over the termination contract. However I was in the parking lot waiting to see if she would send it over.
In many conversations with Hannah and/or David it appeared that there was some untruths. For example, Hannah stated that she left a message for the agent who came to look at the house spoke to the agent myself who said no one from David Flory's team ever called her or left a message. So dealing with David Flory this is what I can tell you that happened to my fiancé and myself that may happen to you. read more
