This truly a family Dojo. My son and I have been going there for more than two years and we love…read moreit. My son especially has developed a big sense of discipline and he is able to focus more on his classes. I am proud to say that thanks to our Senseis, my son has participated in 2 different events across the country, where he has placed 1 and 2 place in two categories. We love the way that Mr. and Mrs. Guillimet, teach their classes. They take the time to look what we need to improve and ensure that by the end of the class we have a clear understanding of the techniques that we are doing. Keep up with the good work, and I hope that this review helps anyone that is interested in joining karate.

The Guillemets are down to earth, fun, experienced and extremely adept at teaching karate. We have attended other schools and my daughter has had several problems with them all. one of the main issues was in thinking girls are inferior to boys by the instructors. Other issues include: bad teaching, screaming angrily at children, and holding students back for multiple reasons. Not everyone who knows karate, (even someone with a high degree black belt) can teach karate but the husband and wife instructor combo at New Visions dojo, Chelsie and Ryan, sure know how to TEACH very well. Great family karate school, I HIGHLY recommend over every other place we have tried!

Authentic Full Contact Kyokushin karate!…read more Whether you're wanting to get in shape and lose weight, gain confidence, become self disciplined, or if you're wanting to learn how to defend yourself in the street this is the place to be. This style of Karate was made to work, plain and simple. You'll learn how to properly punch bare knuckle (very important to learn so you don't break your hand), kick, knee, and much more. You'll leave class knowing (and feeling) that is works. Yes you'll be happy with your exercise goals being met, yes you'll have peace of mind, but the best part of all is knowing that you (or your child) will be able to properly defend themselves, if such an unfortunate situation were to take place. Sensei Kato is a great instructor! You can really tell that he wants the best for his students and that he wants to see them reach great heights. His enthusiasm for World Oyama Karate is contagious. Seriously, don't miss your chance to experience this authentic style of karate that Nashville now has to offer! P.S. If you're still interested in learning more about this style of karate, many legendary MMA fighters have a Kyokushin background (Georges St. Pierre and Bas Rutten to name a couple) and the same can be said for many K1 style kickboxers (my personal favorite is Tenshin Nasukawa).

Great for children to learn discipline, patience, and appreciation. Encourage women to learn self defense and build self esteem. Great for seniors to live in active life. It’s great workout for everybody. We offers one FREE Lesson. Come join us and good sweat together! Class start 1:00pm every Saturday.
