I had to deal with the aftermath of an employers aviation accident (deer strike on takeoff, totaled aircraft) including salvaging and accounting/return to service of on-board equipment. of the four H-10- headsets on board, three were damaged, one I thought beyond repair(ear cup ripped from frame). On the advice of the kind lady I spoke to, I sent all four sets back to D/C for warranty repair/refurbishment. All four sets were returned fully functional, no charge except for replacement ear pads.
