My homeowners premiums increased in 2025 by 40% with no explanation or concern from Atlas. In July of 2025 I received a notice letter from Travelers notifying me that my homeowners policy would renew in August 2025, but the deductible for hail/storm damage claims was increasing to $2,500.00. Presumably this was due to hail damage roof claims in my area. The next month I became aware of hail damage to my roof and filed my first ever homeowners claim. Travelers denied the claim due to "wear and tear" ignoring photographs of hail damage. Travelers has now denied my appeal of the claim even with a public adjuster and an independent report showing multiple areas of hail damage. Several other homes in my neighborhood have had recent roof replacements due to hail damage. Other companies covered those claims on roofs the same are as mine. At the follow-up inspection for my claim appeal, the adjuster said he would "try to get it right this time" to get my claim approved. It was promptly denied again claiming vague "wear and tear" excuses. From my work expertise in the insurance industry, I know that brokers/agents can assist with claims if they want to help and keep your business. Atlas Insurance has taken no action to assist with this claim or support me in any way. They just assume they will continue to get my business and couldn't care less about my claim when I actually need coverage. Because I filed this valid claim that was denied in bad faith by Travelers, I will now be required to replace my roof out of pocket before I can change insurance carriers (and brokers) later this year. I have also never received some of the policy premium discounts that I was promised when I signed up with Atlas in 2020. Hopefully other people have experienced better treatment and service from Atlas and Travelers.

Bob has broken his word to me and is cancelling my home owner's policy with only 9 days of notice…read more We came to an agreement last year that I would do certain work on my home before March 21, 2024. I completed all the work we agreed to in good faith, and now he is cancelling my policy anyway, citing other issues that I was never told of. This gives me just 9 days to find new home owner's insurance before I am in default on my mortgage. He and State Farm should be ashamed of their actions and I have filed a complaint with the TN Dept of Commerce and Insurance. Don't fall for his lies, you do not want him as your agent and you do not want to be insured by State Farm.
