We strongly recommend them for your wedding. David and Kim are full of great, positive energy. We found it really fun to work with them and they got along great with our families. Our wedding combined American, Indian, and Korean traditions and cultures. It was important for us to have photographers that were willing to learn about these cultures and capture them at their best. David and Kim were enthusiastic to learn about our cultures and it certainly showed in the final product. David and Kim are a husband a wife team. When you hire them you get two very skilled photographers who work together extremely well to capture two angles of every moment. They can be in two places at once and the final photos we received did not miss a single moment. We were really pleased with their system of a 2-hour engagement photo session (included in the price) several months prior to the wedding. This allowed David and Kim to get to know our personalities prior to the wedding day. From the engagement pictures we were able to provide feedback as to the types of photos we really liked and the types or poses we did not care for. The engagement photo session was a real blast for us. We brought our dog along and David and Kim captured some really great moments with our dog on the beach. We flew Julie out to Chicago for our wedding because we were so confident in her talent and professionalism, and we were not disappointed! Julie was very helpful in putting together an organized timeline and coordinating photography on our wedding day. The day before the wedding, she spent several hours diligently checking out our venue for great places to take pictures. She ended up recommending that we take some group photos in a beautiful courtyard across the street from our venue. Now, this was in my hometown, where I spent the first 18 years of my life, and I had no idea that this place was there- but Julie found it and it worked perfectly for our wedding party photos. Michael's gorgeous photos captured our day perfectly and we will cherish them forever. Long version: I cannot speak highly enough about Michael Clemens. Michael is an absolutely exceptional photographer, and he treats each wedding as more than a job. The care and effort he put into photographing our wedding was nothing short of amazing. I had known of Michael's work for quite some time, so I knew the quality of the work he produces. In fact, I told my husband a year or so before we even got engaged that he was the only photographer I wanted if/when we got married. To get a little sense of his dedication to his craft -- Michael will not eat during the event he is photographing. I sure hope he at least had something to drink since it was probably 115 degrees during our first look and pre-ceremony photos, but I DO know that he brought his own sweat towel! Michael's eye for what makes for a great photo is beyond anything I've ever seen. I trusted and took his advice without question, in fact, we ended up flipping our ceremony 180 degrees the week before the wedding because he showed us just how much better the photos would turn out. My husband and I are historically pretty terrible at taking photos, and I don't love being the center of attention, but I never felt awkward or uncomfortable doing our portraits. Michael actually listened to what Kyle and I wanted, and stuck to that (which is not always the case with photographers). We were pretty adamant that we didn't want to spend too much time away from our guests for photos, and Michael respected that. I was worried that I cut ourselves short, but when I got our photos, I was SO pleasantly surprised at how many shots, and the variety of those shots, that Michael managed while also giving us the most time possible with our friends and family.

I got every single picture that I had requested and in such FAST time!!! A friend of mine told me her photographer took a year to get the pictures to her, it took Michael less than a month! I barely noticed that he was there during the ceremony and the reception, but when we did talk he was such a pleasure to talk to!
