I finally got the last of my 27 year old home water system upgraded…read more Mike came out and set me up with a temporary fix for a failing system. When he was done he grabbed a raw water sample to be analyzed for hardness among other things. With this info they were able to build the correct system for the proper treatment of my well water. We scheduled an install appointment and everything went very smooth. I was even out of town but Oregon Water Services has already earned my complete trust in their services. Knowing I was out of town, Mike still left me a voicemail letting me know he was arriving to swap out my softening system. When he was done he even texted me a pic of the completed work and let me know it was done, left me the instructions manual, programmed the system for me and even advised me on the proper salt for the new system! This new system is incredible! I had no idea that there could be such a difference in quality of water between a 1996 system and a 2022 system. My water was already clear, so it was surprising to see that it seemed even cleaner and tastes better. It even feels different in the shower. This upgrade makes me wish I had done it sooner. Thanks Mike and Oregon Water Services! Excellent work and excellent results once again!

Umpqua water potable for domestic consumption. Unfortunately, a log destroyed the River intake that first winter. I called them to come back to develop a seasonal system for summer use instead of the permanent system that was too risky to count on. They assured me they would be back. I texted. I emailed. I called. Over and over. I was told they would return but after months of asking and waiting they never showed. Our new house was close to being completed and we had no water for it. I contacted a different company and they really bailed us out of the hole that Gilbert Pump left us in. I'd see the Gilbert truck often drive by to do jobs on our street, but they chose to not return. I was always considerate and kind whenever I communicated with the office manager about our need for further services from them. I paid them in full. The water treatment system they installed works fine so they can do good work when they make themselves available. Our new seasonal system was the right solution and it is functioning well with the filtration system Gilbert installed. We now use rain capture over the winter months with 5000 gal of storage and install the seasonal system once it quits raining. It is still very perplexing why Gilbert pump left us high and dry. There seems to be internal "issues" with this company.

The young man who came out checked the pump tech and told me it was not operating because the wires were not connected, they had also installed the pump tech when they put in the new pump 8 months earlier. When they came back a week later to fix the pump the man who had installed the pump and pump tech told me he had forgot to hook up the pump tech and that is why it was not working. they installed a new pump and told me again my well had gone dry, yet I was still getting water, with the new pump i was getting the amount of water I was getting before the pump broke which if the pump tech was hooked up properly would have shut down before any problems. A month later I get a bill for 3600 dollars for the work they did I talked to Tammy at their office telling her it was a bad pump, the well had not gone dry and I shouldn't have to pay for the pump they gave back 300 dollars making the bill 3300. I talked to two different pump and well people here in town both said the same thing if my well had gone dry I would not get water it was a bad pump. I felt like I was being taken advantage of because of my age, 80 yo and lack of knowledge of wells and disabled. Talking to Tammy and the 2 workers was like talking to used car salesmen. Again McKenzie Valley Pump is not an honest business in my opinion, don't use them they will take advantage of people ignorant on how wells work
