This guy has no bedside manner. I always felt rushed at my visits. If I had questions he would talk over me and then leave the room. He was always working alone, no other employees to assist.

After several unexpected surgeries over the past few years, I'm truly a klutz and was looking for some guidance and refinement as I'm back into a regular fitness routine. You book your first appointment through Mindbody, I was able to find a Saturday morning appointment due to my work schedule. When I came for my visit Dr. Erik was very friendly, I completed new patient forms, health history and medicines. Then Erik took the time to listen to me for my concerns. He had me walk, squat, lunge to observe my function and then provided guidance on making some corrections, as several of the surgeries were in abdominal area resulting in that area being weak, so first priority is strengthening the area through breathing exercises, simple back and abdominal work - little moves, but you sure felt it. Then you moved to the studio area where he observed more moves and gave you corrective movements. Also my left knee has popped since I played soccer since I was a kid, he gave me a simple solution to help stop the popping since then just one subtle move has made quite a difference. After the visit he sent me links to videos to help me continue with my form & function. I was also able to schedule a future visit right there with Dr. Erik. Wow a few weeks after my visit, I can see the difference and looking forward to working with him to continue to improve my overall health and fitness.

I could hardly move my arms, legs without pain all over. It took consistent adjustments and exercises he showed me to do for about 6 months before regaining movements without pain. Constant office seating and computer uses did not help. I would feel much better after a visit which includes a warm massage table with a roller, exercises, massage, occasional electrical stimulation and gentle adjustments. I've always been skeptical of chiropractors in the past. I had what I imagined must be a pinched…read morenerve, and have had migraines for 28 years. The pain near my left shoulder blade finally started getting so bad that I succumbed and went to a chiropractor on the advice of my nurse mother, after massage only gave temporary relief. I went to a sports chiropractor for a few months, and nothing changed. I felt like my money was wasted. Because of this, I decided my initial belief of chiropractic therapy was correct: it was bunk. I always passed "Bliss Chiropractic" on Beechmont, and never gave his office a thought. I thought the name of the business "Bliss" was kinda an obvious marketing ploy, and didn't realize it's actually the doctor's name! One day, my ex husband and his wife were talking about this amazing chiropractor they went to, and took the kids to as well. They said some of their issues had been improved as a result. Their chiropractor? Dr. Bliss! Reluctantly, I gave him a try. This was 2010/2011? I'm am so glad I did!! Dr. Bliss did an xray and confirmed that I did, indeed, have a pinched nerve. He also said I had a bulging disc in my lower back (I also had lower back pain, but hadn't told him this.) I began seeing him, at first, 2-3 times a week. I can not stress to you enough how much of a life changer going to Bliss has been. I've had frequent migraines since the age of 12, at least 2 a month and sometimes more. Just about every day of my life since my migraines have started, I have had a headache in some form ALWAYS in the background of my day. I was taking Ibuprofen and Tylenol almost EVERY SINGLE DAY. Since being treated and adjusted by Bliss, this is GONE. For someone whose "normal" was a headache every day, this is an amazing thing. It was life changing. I no longer have headaches everyday. I rarely have headaches at all. I no longer have regular migraines. I may have one once a year, if that. There have been times, during heavy travel or hectic schedule that I haven't been in for an adjustment for a couple of months. I have found, in the 2 or 3 times this has happened, that after about 6 weeks of not being adjusted, my headaches begin to return everyday like before. Oh, and I no longer have trouble with the pain from my pinched nerve. I can tell it's still not 100% gone, with a slight soreness if pushed on. It hasn't bothered me for years, tho.
