German culture leans much more toward independent copy shops ("Copyshop" or "Kopierladen"), local print houses ("Druckerei"), and small business printing services. The closest Druckerei to the village I live in is owned by Herr Martin Krafft and both times I've gone, both the turnaround and the quality of their work were very impressive. The prices were about on par of what I'm used to paying in the states and it's nice to be able to support a local business. The only drawback is that they have very limited hours, but I don't mind a quick drive on a Saturday to pick up quality work.
