Our local Christmas tree farm was closed this year. My wife heard about Dart's Christmas Tree Farm and their unique trees. I must point out, When I got married, I wanted a white Christmas tree like my grandparents had, its something nostalgic. A white tree grows in Brooklyn! Every year I'd tell my wife, let's get a white tree! And every year she'd say, sounds great as she had me cut down a green tree... This year is going to play out my way. My son is home from Boston and we all head out to Dart's Christmas Tree Farm. Once we park the car and start walking to the farm, I can see their unique trees in the distance. Blue trees, Purple and White trees are all pre cut and ready for purchase. I found the most beautiful, full white Christmas tree. Blue would have been cool but I want to get the white tree out of my system. I also purchased a live Christmas tree with a root ball for planting (It's green) Walking towards the gift shop, it's another plus. They have an outside fire pit blazing and are selling hot beverages. Inside there are ornaments and other items to decorate your Christmas tree. A young man helped me strap the tree to the car. Once we had the tree home, my sons helped me get the trees out of the car. The White tree has been standing strong for over a week. It's fully decorated and none of the needles have fell off. It's a healthy, freshly cut Christmas tree. How did I not know about this?!!!! Ok, I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical about seeing spray painted Christmas trees but there IS something magical about them (so much so they charge you $10 to walk through this little forest of them). They take some getting used to but once you see all the colors it's hard to decide on a favorite! The gift shop was adorable and had a bunch of local items for sale (I'm a sucker for local stuff), and handmade wreaths. They were selling hot chocolate outside and there was even a food truck which I think changes often so check their website/Facebook page. They have some animals on display but in a quiet area (not near parking like another place we stopped at), but the trees here are a bit pricier I noticed, if only by a little (the colored ones get steep). This place is a must visit at least once!!! I'm probably going back again around dusk so I can get different pictures. I love it!!! read more

A usual holiday Grinch gives this Christmas Tree farm five stars! I'll admit: when it comes to holidays, I'm in the minority: cold weather, snow, etc is NOT the most magical time of year for me. I prefer warm weather and beach vibes. I dragged my feet getting out of the car here- then it was hard to get me to leave! Darts is a piece of holiday heaven. The best part are the many tree options: cut down your own or get a precut one, 6 feet tall or 2.5 feet tall, you can even get funky and get pink, blue or purple trees! (These were very cool - see the photos!) There's also a beautiful shop where you can stock up on holiday gifts: ornaments, Nativity displays, rustic items galore! Finish off your adventure with a fresh soft pretzel that you can grill over an open fire and load up with various mustards. When its not the holiday season, the farm still sells trees - typically for privacy around your yard. There's also an incredible large field that is available to rent for parties and weddings. Darts made this holiday Grinch's heart grow at least three sizes! A great spot to stop on a day of vineyard tours! read more

This is an incredible place! From the beautiful trees (in such incredible colors this year!), to grilling pretzels in the fire pit, to the beautiful Christmas store...this place is a holiday must-go! We were blown away by the pink/blue/purple Christmas trees! What a fun spin on the holiday! Not to mention the grounds are beautiful. The owner, Ed, is so friendly and outgoing. He gave us a detailed tour of the farm and made us feel so welcome. I can't wait to go back next year! read more

From start to finish, working with Ed Dart and his crew was so easy and pleasant. He invited us to the farm to see the variety of trees. We began by telling him the problem we needed to solve in our yard, along with the limitations we had. From there we came up with a solution. He solved a few additional problems for us that are not typically part of his offering, but he did it anyway to be truly full-service. Ed took the time to come by our home a few days before the install to ensure everything would run smoothly. His crew was efficient, polite, and so accommodating. And last but certainly not least, Ed is just a kind man. My two boys enjoyed their time at the farm with the chickens and peacocks and even took a ride in the back of the tractor. I can't recommend Dart's enough. And this is coming from someone who is pretty particular. read more

Very overpriced selection of Christmas trees but it was nice to be there with the fam also 5$ to even go look at a tree per person and only give you 10$ off a tree no matter how many people paid to go in so kind of a rip off will not be going back also the trees were spray painted not so Magical!! read more

This place was awful the trees were sad and not cared for or trimmed at all and the prices were insane !!! Believe me when it comes to trees if I love it I don't even think how much. This was definatly not worth the drive and I live pretty close read more

Dart's farm has become a tradition for us....they do such a wonderful Jon decorating and every year it is one of the first places we go to kick off the Christmas season..Fred Dart was especially warm and friendly....a must visit! read more

For the last 7 years my family has gone to Darts and have always loved the trees. This year the cut your own trees selection was horrible and the price clined to $99.00 a tree. They brought more pre cut trees in and charged more for them. Sadly our 7 year tradition ended. read more
