If you ever get the chance to visit Mason Michigan, stop into the main offices of Dart Container and take a tour through the history museum that tells the story, past and present of Dart Container. I found it to be a very eye opening experience considering that I "lean green" and have been curious about businesses that produce products that can be considered limited use. Dart makes limited use products, but it is also very proactive about recycling those products (something you will learn about at the museum) and attempting to educate the public about recycling. I was privy to the employee cafeteria because my daughter works at Dart and I stopped in to have lunch with her. Not only do they have chefs cooking meals from scratch everyday using local products, they serve on, and recycle, all their own products. The recycling system is phenomenal--explained and easy to follow. So if you are curious about where your paper plates and RED SOLO cups come from, stop into the Main office and take a tour in the museum.
