Temple Body Arts is a clean, cool looking studio. It does not try to be pretentiously hip nor over the top swanky. I worked with Nic, the owner on my latest piece. Nic was great with communication. Setting up the appointment was easy. Putting down the deposit was also very simple. He told me he would have something drawn up for me when I got there and to my surprise, he did. This was literally the first time I have ever had a tattoo artist have something drawn up before I got there. Typically they tell you they will, then they forget or get busy doing other things and have to draw something up on the spot. He worked with me on the sizing of the tattoo and the placement. In hindsight, this was also the least painful tattoo I have ever gotten. Of course, depending on where you get a tattoo will determine a lot of the pain, however, I felt he had a soft touch. Of course, none of that means anything unless the tattoo turned out the way I wanted it. I can honestly say that I am thrilled with how it turned out. The most recent is what I find to be subpar and the reason I am done getting bad tattoos. I wanted the new tattoo to be the best and all I got was so-so. If an artist feels the location isn't the best, offer another location or admit thay it can't be done in a way to be proud of. This new one HAD to be perfect, it HAD to make me proud. It was of my brother's participation in the Navy,.on an aircraft carrier. He now has stage 4 small cell lung cancer as well as brain damage from falls necessitating 3 craniotomies. I cannot show Jim my tattoo in honor of him. You tell me, is this tattoo for my brother, Jim, something that you would be proud to show a professional tattoo. VERY UNFORTUNATELY, I do not. It cannot be fixed. That's the one bad thing about tattoos. Note the lettering at the end of of "Oriskany" and the.l crooked lines in the yellow and red shading. I wasted $230 on a bad tattoo.

Kris made sure to talk through the aftercare process (even though I've been tattooed before) and free touch up policy before we started, then had the paperwork ready to go. She also made sure to go over the final design with me one more time and then helped place the stencil so it frames my shoulder really well. She not only showed me the sealed needles but also talked about which colors and shades she chose and why. Once we got rolling Kris was so easy to talk to the time just flew by. I hardly felt a thing until the very end. 4 hours very well spent, and a beautiful tattoo is done.

I drove over 100 miles to have Steve do it. A year later my son died. I drove the 100 miles to have Steve do my tribute to my son. Today I made the drive again to have him do my 5th tattoo that says "God Only Knows". I have never have bad service, a bad experience, or a tattoo that has scabbed or bled as some of my friends have had at other places. I paid way too much money for the amount of mistakes I received in my tattoo…read more I got pierced here and that was a pleasant experience, so i felt good about going back for a tattoo. That said, when they said my small pencil tattoo was going to be $100, I knew I was getting ripped off, because the larger tattoo on my right arm only cost me $60 elsewhere and is pristine. That said, I assumed I was paying for quality, so I paid for it. I was wrong, as you can see in the photo, there are several random dots that were not a part of the design I sent over. In addition, the tattoo artist began arguing with me about including mistakes from the scan image including a grey tint to the photo and the graph paper the design was drawn on, which I did not think I needed to clarify I didn't want. I really don't want to be negative and am trying my best to be happy with the end result, given it's there now and forever, but I'm not gonna lie I'm really upset about all the mistakes made, especially given the amount I paid. I can't help but wish I had gotten tattooed anywhere else, or even gotten one of my friends with Amazon-ordered tattoo guns to do it. Finally, the guy at the front desk was rude and acted like I was inconveniencing him every time I made him look up from his phone to take my money. If my tattoo turned out fine, I literally wouldn't have cared at all. But it was just another thing that frustrated me about this experience. After talking to some friends about this experience, I've learned that many other students have had similar negative experiences as well, and that apparently within the tattooed student body they're known to do stuff like this. I really wish I'd asked around more before scheduling an appointment here. Yes, I really downloaded this app and made an account just to write this review. It's the only thing I can do about any of this at this point besides sit in my room and stew. I feel bad saying all of this because the guy who tattooed me was very nice. I'm debating whether or not to get the mistakes covered, on one hand they're several random dots/smears that are invisible from a distance, but on the other hand it's my body and I don't like how messy the final result is. They're open Tuesday through Saturday and take appointments with a $20 deposit. Peep their website for specials and availability, as it's appointment only. My nine year old had a horror story from a botched Claire's piercing years ago. (Long story short, it wasn't done properly and her lobe ripped. Eek.) Fast forward a few years and after letting her lobes heal fully-- I felt we were ready to try again. I contacted Steeve and he was confident we'd have no issues and I set up an appointment! We popped in on a Tuesday (buy one piercing, get one free). The staff greeted us with smiles! My daughter, Cora, went to the jewelry case and selected a bubble gum pink opal set that were reasonably priced. There was quite a selection: tons of sizes, metals, etc. Steeve was a calm, professional presence that treated Cora with respect and care. He walked her through the process and showed her what he was doing or going to do. He let her know he'd stop whenever she wanted and really emphasized it was ok to be nervous. He had her do deep breaths throughout as a way to countdown when a piercing was going to happen and even jammed some Taylor Swift during the appointment. It was refreshing as a parent to not be the one he was talking to, but Cora, instead. It's her ears after all! Cora was a rockstar (not even a tear was shed) but I attest it is partly because Steeve and the entire team set her up for success. Reminder-- bring an ID! Even for littles it is required. Release Body Modification is a piercing shop that can do just about anything you want, piercing wise. Quality is definitely the #1 priority from the piercing itself to the jewelry sold here.
