Matt was able to visit same week of quote request and came in just above the lowest bid. The difference? The lowest bid was not confident in scheduling, did not include prep (power wash or taping), and did not recommend paint mfg. Matt did all the above. Look, if you want a super honest, reliable, and skilled crew, go with Ville Painting Company. He's not going to scam you, he's not going bait and switch, he's going to get the job done and exactly how you want it. 10/10. My only regret is that we didn't use them when we first moved in the house for some interior work. Went with another painter and had to redo much of the work.

Friends, this is going to be quite a long post, but I ask that you read it through. I'm warning you…read moreagainst using a specific company and I'm going to tell you in detail why and wish I could include multiple pictures. Please bear with me. So, we are selling our house. We were looking for someone to paint the inside and do some drywall repair. So, I head to Angie's List and Home Advisor. I got a list of about 6 names in total. I got quotes from 4 of them. Now, i went with a company called KG Painting (owner/operator is Kenneth Gaines) and found them on Angie's List. He was not our cheapest quote, he was middle of the road, but Mike liked him and felt good about him so we hired him for the job. He was supposed to start on July 9th. I had not heard anything from him, so I emailed him on July 5th to touch base and was informed that he was running behind on a job and wouldn't be able to start our job until the 23rd. Now, he didn't contact ME to tell me this, I had to contact HIM. We had to wait because we took out a home equity loan in the exact amount we needed to have the floors done and the painting done. He actually starts the job on the 26th and finishes on the 27th. I get home the night of the 27th and start looking around and I see a TON of places that he just flat out missed....most of them around doorways. There were paint splatters on my new floors. Paint left on my counter tops, my cabinets, my bathtub, bathroom floors. So, I email him and tell him that he needs to come and fix it. He agrees to come back on Monday telling me (and I could screen shot the email correspondence, but I'm trying to just get this out there) that he's a professional of 28 years with work all of the time and something like this happening is very, very rare and that he just had a lot going on. So, he comes back on Monday. I get home Monday and below you will see the pictures of how I found my home...keeping in mind he came back out to fix things. I contacted him AGAIN and told him that I was VERY unhappy with the job they had done and we paid him almost $3,000 and this is what he calls a professional job. His response to me? And I quote: "I don't respond to stupid comments from stupid people" Excuse me??? Oh, now I'm really livid. So, I contact Angie's List and I leave him a truthful review with 10 pictures included. Angie's List customer service just says thanks for leaving a review, you'll help other consumers. if you'd like to file a complaint against this company, you can upgrade your membership for $99.99. So, I have to pay to get you to do something about a contractor that is doing shoddy work and being rude to the customer? No thanks. I filed a complaint with the BBB for free. Well, believe it or not, it gets even better. I have two pictures of the kinder than it should have been review I left on his FB business page and his most lovely response. People, STAY AWAY FROM KG PAINTING AND ANGIE'S LIST. Livid doesn't even begin to explain how I'm feeling. I now have to pay someone else to come to my house and fix this mess. I'm glad I kept his email calling me stupid and himself a professional and screenshot this post of his. He can make as many nasty comments to me as he pleases, but I have the proof.

He worked a full eight hours + each day. I asked him to protect our wood bannister and he did all he could to keep paint off the vintage wood. The finished product is amazing--lines are straight and clean, paint finish is beautiful. We would have Luis back for another project without a second's hesitation.

He even refused to reimburse his labor. I don't recommend them for any kind of work.
