I've been photographed by Steve in improv shows, photobooths, and in a one-on-one session, and I was more than happy with the results every time. When he is taking photos at an improv show or a live event, he really captures the story and the characters. You can go back months later, and you can relive what you've seen. When he's taking photos at photobooths, he catches the spirit of the moment and the fun of the event. You always feel happy looking back at the photobooth photos, especially when ridiculous costumes are involved. And he is fantastic in a one-on-one setting. He makes you feel comfortable and safe. And the photos come out beautifully. I don't really like being photographed, and I often don't like the way I look in pictures. But I love the way I look when Steve photographs me. He makes me feel beautiful, and the pictures always tell the story of who I am.

He was very helpful and reached out to me before the wedding to get a feel for my vision for the photos. I wish I would have researched shots that I wanted more in advance to the wedding to ensure all of the ones I wanted were taken, in the moment it is easy to become overwhelmed and forget. There was maybe only 2 or 3 poses I would have included and we had over 600 to pick from so we have plenty of choices. DW was kind and fun during the wedding. His use of light in the photos were genius and turned out beautiful in the photos. I ordered several photo books from DW and they were wonderful. He even included hand written holiday cards for the people I was gifting them to. That was such a thoughtful and special detail! I definitely recommend using DW for a wedding photographer. We truly cherish all of the lovely photos and the memories from that day. In hindsight, I would have added more time because 2 hours were not enough to include pictures of the dances and some other important moments of us and our guests.

I loved the fact that the photos were artsy/colorful and not just the typical portraits. But what really sealed the deal was when we talked to Josh over Skype. He stated he doesn't charge by the hour for weddings because then he would be too focused on time, and also because it's a (hopefully) once in a lifetime experience that shouldn't be limited by time. He definitely followed through - we had an almost 10hr engagement session followed by another the next day!! How many photographers can you say would be ok with that? He really uses his surroundings to strengthen the photo as well. Andrew is his partner that did our 2nd day of engagement session and he was just as passionate, and just as friendly. During the wedding they really made sure to capture some of the best moments. I couldn't have asked for a better team!

It…read morewas a really personal and vulnerable thing for me, so it's amazing how fun and relaxed it was to do the photoshoot with Aubrey. First of all, Aubrey is not awkward or a prude. She has an unfazed sort of vibe about her. She's also really funny which, as we all know, helps during any potentially awkward moment. She told me all the little details about how to pose so that my face and hands and everything didn't look stupid (you know how sometimes you see photos and the people are fumbling with what to do with their hands or feet or what direction to look? I need more direction than that and she is really good at that)! Aubrey figured out what angles and lighting looked best and she was so encouraging the whole time. I had a mix of photos of me looking at the camera, looking away, smiling, not smiling, etc., some looked candid, others didn't. Perfect mix. Also she would tell me how amazing the photos were looking while she was shooting and even showed me some on the little camera screen. I have never felt like such a rock star. Then, after editing, she sent me a giant load of absolutely incredible photos. I don't know if she just did everything right as far as angles and lighting, or if she did a lot of editing work in the "lab" but either way she made me look really good in my photos, better than I could have imagined going into it. I sincerely recommend Aubrey for boudoir or any type of photos!!!

We found it so easy to relax around her, which shows in the photos. She gives easy-to-follow instructions that make the photos look great without feeling overly posed or unnatural. We had great vendors for our wedding, but April was by our favorite by far! When booking with her, she shared multiple galleries with me so I could see the flow of a whole day and get a sense for her style. She was also a preferred vendor for our venue, so she was able to even help us decide on a wedding date based on past weddings she'd photographed there (and when the greenery was most lush without being too hot). She was very flexible about rescheduling our engagement session when I had a ring disaster that required repairs. We were able to do two locations for the shoot that allowed us to get a more park-like feel with our pups and some downtown vibes, too. April is organized, well collected and a source of calm on an otherwise hectic day. Really led the flow of the day (despite having a planner), and I am SO grateful we had her as our photographer. She is also very competitively priced for the level of service she provides. Besides her absolutely amazing work, another thing that stood out was that she did not have an hour limit of on her time with us on our wedding day. It was nice knowing she would be there for everything we wanted captured. We were also SO impressed with how quickly we got our photos for both engagement and wedding galleries. We received 600+ of our photos within 48 hours of our wedding and got a several hundred more within a few weeks! It was so wonderful getting to see them so soon after and made me even more grateful we went with her after hearing horror stories of other couples not getting photos back for 4+ months. She is a master at her craft, and the proof is in the photos! We will cherish our gorgeous engagement and wedding photos every day for the rest of our lives. Thank you so much April! I love the way she is able to capture emotion and liveliness in the photos. Also, she does a great job at finding the perfect spot to get natural sunlight to accent everyone's features. Dogs and newborns are not necessarily the easiest subjects to work with, but she has been able to get great shots of them both. A few days after the photo shoot, she came to our house with her ipad and showed us the digitals of our pictures as well as different print options for our photos (prints, different paper options, canvas, etc.). She had a software program where she could take a picture of our wall and then help design a photo arrangement that would look good in our house. This service was invaluable as we all know how hard it is to actually get around to deciding which pictures to print, what arrangements would look good, sizes, frames, etc. Sarah helped us choose all this and then delivered our canvases in a week. We love everything about her photography and recommend her to anyone looking for a family photographer!
