They told me it needed an alternator so I got them to do the work. I paid the bill $838.39 which I thought was too much but thanked the owner Nick and left. About a month ago the car broke down on the highway and had to get it towed to my mechanic shop that cost $500 for the tow. They had to replaced the alternator again on the weekend so my daughter had a way to get to University on Monday a 2.5 hour drive from my home in Barrie. I called Nick the owner on The Monday and told him what happened and asked for a refund. He said that we were supposed to bring the car to a Car Quest affiliate location here to have it replaced and get the work done again. I told him why didn't you tell me that before I left your shop and he said you didn't ask! How was I supposed to know your warranty policy if you didn't tell me? He refused to refund me the cost of the alternator saying it was my fault! I called Car Quest in Summerside where they got the part and they told me that H&S was supposed to tell me their warranty policy before I left their shop they failed to do this now I'm out $1800 because they are dishonest! They also told me that they marked up the price of the alternator by $200. I got the same work done here for $535.00. They don't care about their customers stay clear of them.
