TL DR: Good machine work, just takes him a while.
I took in a Chevy 250 engine block and crankshaft for machine work. He bored it 30 over for the 3.905 inch pistons I want to install. Every single cylinder bore measures 3.909 when I used a 3 digit micrometer tool. The engine was clean as a whistle when I got it back. Didn't mic the crank yet but it definitely looks good. Prices are reasonable. It was a few weeks before he got it done but the machine work looks good and I'm more worried about it being done right than it being done fast.
