Danji is an absolute gem! Unassuming outside / tables/ chairs but it is about the food! Super good, super authentic & exactly what Korean food should be. I've been coming here for a while now and I always keep coming back, especially for the soups. They're rich, flavorful, and comforting! You can really taste the love and tradition in every bowl. The ingredients are fresh, the portions are generous, and the side dishes are on another level. If you're looking for real deal Korean cuisine that hits the spot every time, this is the place. It seems like it's always one waiter in the front and the cook in the back but highly recommend!

This is the best, most authentic Korean restaurant that we've tried in NC. The banchan was flavorful and varied, and the food was delicious.  This is what we got: + Beef soon tofu soup: 9/10. My mom (Korean and lived in Queens, NY for decades) said that the broth was very rich and the amount of beef in it was generous. It has the right amount of spice too.  + Sul lung tang: 8/10. My mom said that it tasted like it had been cooked the right way (boiled for hours). + Jja jang myun: 7/10. My husband said it was decent and on the sweeter side.  + Tang soo yook: 8/10. This is the best tang soo yook I've ever had. Light, crunchy, and the portion was very generous. The sauce came on the side, which helped it stay crunchy-fresh. Get this.  + Jjam bbong: 9/10. This is the best jjam bbong I've ever had. The broth was amazingly flavorful, the right amount of spice (medium), and hot dang - I've never had so much seafood in dish before! It came with a couple large shrimps (in shell), crab legs, mussels... They even gave a separate bowl with disposable gloves and scissors for seafood eating. If you like seafood, spice, and noodles (in broth), try this. On our way out, we saw these Korean clay pots that had gochujang (red pepper sauce) and dwen jang (soybean paste) being fermented. I've never seen this in the U.S.!!! We spoke with the chef and she said she started making these because she couldn't find good ones sold in the U.S. l-e-g-i-t. If you are looking for a legit, authentic Korean restaurant with high quality, flavorful ingredients, this is the place for you. If you're looking for a more trendy Korean restaurant that tend to be more Americanized (like Korean BBQ), this isn't it. If you've never tried authentic Korean food before, you'll experience it here.

Supposed yukejang. No noodles or eggs or green onions. Barely any gosari. It looks more like haejanggook.

My mom made me go back even though I swore I wouldn't. She had to see for herself if the food was that bad or not. She got the soup in question from last time and j got the black bean noodles. The verdict is that it was better than before but she said she has never had the soup that way. She said it was too sweet and too salty. The soup shouldn't be sweet at all. She also said the basic ingredients were wrong and she thinks they used the main soup base as they prepare for most dishes and added ingredients to make this as close to the original as it could be. Even such, she said they failed at it and gave it a 3/10. Mine was very salty and sweet. It was also super oily and I couldn't eat it. They did give plenty of seafood which is a plus. I give mine a 5/10. They gave more side dishes than they did last time and service was 100 times better than the last. We were well attended to except she never refilled drinks. Overall I think they're nicer when they see an older Korean face. It was night and day from when I went last time in service and condiments. And the food was better too. She told me she didn't like it at all and said that was the last chance and not to go back. They're overpriced and the food was only so-so. We paid 40+ for a noodle dish and a soup at lunch. Slight improvement from last time. No insults this time but the food was not good. The man from the last time never made an appearance. That's a good thing. He wasn't very respectful.

They have soju! Soup was delicious and I can tell all of their ban-chan(side of little Korean dishes) were all good. It's small but perfect for those who wants to go alone.

We were back out on the food prowl and came to a place that was so impressive. It started when the smells from the kitchen smacked us in the face as we walked in the doors, we knew we were in for a treat. Danji is located off West Market St. in Greensboro and they serve up some of the best Korean food we have discovered. Walking to our seat we couldn't help stare at the layouts on other tables as we passed by. We ordered the Stone Bowl of Bibimbap, it came out sizzling so loud it silenced the dining room. Danji has definitely pushed it's way towards the top of our list of places to eat! Chicken Tempura - deep fried chicken bites with sweet and spicy sauce Stone Bowl Bibimbap - rice with vegetable, egg, spicy sauce. Choose meat Don Katsu - crispy breaded pork cutlet served with house sauce

Loveeeeee Danji this was my 3rd visit and food was excellent as always. My only complaint is the slow service and have to remind my waiter about a few extra items I ordered. Since getting into K-Dramas over the last few years I have found an appreciation for Korean food and let me tell you Danji is authentic & delicious. So if you're looking for authentic Korean food Danji is the place... SARANGHAE & KAMSA HAMIDA

It was okay very tight and the Korean bbq doesn't have much room and but the food is good and very much to the idea of what I would hope for. With that said the food is good and the people is nice.

Kimchi Pancake - very greasy!

Little confused as to the actual name of this restaurant - Danji or Dasarang? I had it delivered by Door Dash and their website lists it as Dasarang. Anyway, I ordered Kimchi Jeon (a pancake, $9.99), Dan Katsu ( a pork cutlet, $11.99), Kimchi Stew (a stew, $8.99), and Galbi Tang ( a beef short rib noodle soup, $13.99) - whew! The food was really a hit or miss situation - what was good was very good, what wasn't, clearly wasn't - and it was about a 3 to 1 miss!! The Kimchi Jeon carried some real heat but was very, very greasy. The ribs in the Galbi Tang were very tough and chewy, and on their own had no flavor! The Dan Katsu was dry and much overcooked, sauce helped some, but not enough in the final analysis! The small saving grace was the Kimchi Stew, it was simply outstanding - amazing flavor, heat, and competing textures with a very nice broth! This is a dish I'd order again, but it is the only one. I may try to pair it with another choice or two and hope for the best! Not up to it competition down the road, imho! Aside from the food, the customer service here is not great - they are slow, really slow, and don't seem to care if they are - the delivery service waited 30 minutes in the restaurant, starting at 4:30!

I give this place 5 stars for the food! It's not much to look at on the inside, and quite frankly it's a maze trying to find the bathroom. But the food is on point. The flavors of the bipimbop working together with the red sauce is like a party in your mouth. I've been back twice and will go back again. As for the atmosphere, it's not a place I'd go for a fancy date. But it's a foodies dream getting to experience the culture and quality food.

Incredible food. One of our very favorites. A little pricier that other Korean restaurants in the area but worth it.

But it is the dish shown on the menu as Kao Poon that was the Laotian dish that first got my attention. This dish has several names, including Lao Laska, which is the name I used to order it the first time, at a Chapel Hill restaurant called Merilon, sadly no more! There are different version, of course, since this spicy noodle dish is served not only in Laos, but also in Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Cambodia, and The USA. It is served at 18 Malaysia in Winston, where it is shown on the menu as Malaysia Curry Noodle Soup, and I have eaten this dish at this restaurant quite a few times. The dish as served at So-Sapp is a very nice version, though I prefer the one at 18 Malaysia because of the very flavorful broth, and that you have a number of protein choices, while at So-Sapp it is limited to chicken. The other items I've had here have been good, especially the sausage, the pork skewers, and the Jeow Bong. The papaya salad was just ok.

We also thought it would be quick since it mentions street eats and that it has a drive-thru. If you are in a hurry I would order in advance. They do have a drive-thru for pick-up orders. The menu is slim, but adequate and the dishes are customizable (regarding ingredients and spice level). We ordered: Pad Thai chicken ($12.99) Pad Thai tofu - medium spice ($12.99) Thai chicken fried rice - no onions ($12.99) Mango sticky rice ($7.99) Brown sugar boba ($5.99) We enjoyed each of the dishes and recommend this restaurant to others!

I would've probably left but we were starved and didn't have the brainpower to really try and brainstorm anything else. And it's ramen-how long could it really take. The waitress was prompt-I was afraid I would feel rushed but she seemed to have a hurried nature and it didn't feel directly related to it being close to closing. I ordered my ramen with no egg and spicy and it came with no spice and an egg. Disappointing to say the least because I've heard great things and expected better since in the short period of time we were there, so many people came in to pickup takeout orders. There was 2 pieces of thinly sliced pork in my ramen and it was mostly mushrooms. The broth was super flavorful I just wish I had more spice. Based off my experience, I wouldn't be interested in returning on my own. I'd visit if a group of friends wanted to go or for takeout to give them another try.
