A great place to hold a wedding in the heart of St Augustine…read more The Lightner Museum is located in the heart of historic St Augustine, the oldest city in the United States founded in 1565 by Don Pedro Menendez De Aviles of Spain. We recently attended a wedding that was held at this location and were very impressed by the venue and the staff. The chapel is intimate, with about 6 benches on one side and 9 benches on the other. A beautiful stained glass window on the front of the church provides a beautiful backdrop for your special occasion. Parking is accomplished by street parking or nearby parking lots. The bride was provided with a changing room for use upstairs. It was air-conditioned with a couch, chairs, and 3 large makeup mirrors for the bride and her ladies. It overlooked the courtyard with access controlled by the staff. They have a pretty busy schedule, often handling several weddings in a day. Our party had the chapel for several hours and private access to the courtyard for over an hour for wedding pictures. Overall, it was a great place to hold a beautiful wedding with wonderful, supportive staff and a beautiful backdrop.

First of all, when I first heard there was going to be a photo booth set up at the party, I thought it was a bit... well... strange. But then, I don't get out much... I mean, other than going to eat yummy foods. Anyways, it was sooooo much fun, one of the highlights of the party. Not only did everyone get goofy and had lots of laughs, it was a great ice-breaker as well. Now, I am not an expert in photo booths (I mean, this is the first time I've ever even been in a photo booth, let alone at a private party event), but the set up, the service, the props, are all excellent. The person that selected EZ-Photo Booth told me that she had tried so many companies and none of them responded to her in a timely fashion. Some just didn't even call her back when she inquired about their services. She told me the business owner, Jordan, was very friendly and not only provided a quote quickly, but also answered all her questions. She also worked with him extensively to create and select a customized print background appropriate to the event. I can see why she ended up picking EZ because I was one of the group of friends that helped set up the party. Jordan showed up on time and was very easy to work with from the beginning. He set up the photo booth in no time and provided many props for people to use inside the photo booth. The entire duration of the rental time, he and his assistant were there to help, provide instructions and suggestions. If I ever have to hire a photo booth for a party (which I will be much inclined to do so after this pleasant experience), I would definitely go with EZ again.

There was a fantastic variety of healthy plants that were ready to come home with me. And at very reasonable prices compared to what you'll find at big box stores. The clubhouse is spacious and beautifully landscaped with an adorable freshly painted outdoor shed and plenty of room for parking. They meet monthly with several events and Master Garden speakers and special guests throughout the year. The members are so sweet and approachable, I actually spent a couple of hours just chatting with them. If you're looking for a great group of people and interested in plants and gardening, this is the place to be for sure. So much local wisdom under one roof right in the heart of Orange Park.
