I had been a client of Daniel Monroe's for many years. A couple of years ago, I had a pre-paid session that was unfortunately canceled six times due to various circumstances (moving to new location, air conditioner not working, sick, etc) on his end. Each time, I was able to reschedule at the times provided by his Office Manager, Yesenia, as this session was important to me. However, after the last cancellation, the rescheduled time offered by Yesenia did not work with my schedule, and I requested an alternative date and time. To which was declined by Yesenia. Yesenia informed me that because I could not accept the provided time that was offered, it was considered a non-refundable cancellation on my part, and my refund request was denied. Her exact words, per email, were, "Unfortunately, per our terms and conditions we do not offer refunds as we did not cancel your session we attempted to reschedule but you declined." Disappointed in their booking policy. Scheduled my first session several months ago and got a call from the assistant a few days before my appt that Daniel needed to reschedule. I live out of state and pre-booked my in-person session to coincide with a trip. The assistant offered me a zoom call, but that was not what I purchased. If I could give ZERO stars, I would!! This fraud took my deposit in November 2023 and my payment for my reading in January 2024...AND NEVER GAVE MY READING! I chose to go to him for a reading because someone I worked with had an amazing experience with him. I scheduled my reading, which he had NO problems taking $375 from me, but when it came time for my reading, he always had an excuse and had to "reschedule". I like to consider myself a pretty patient and understanding person, but I was rescheduled several times. No reading in January as scheduled. Came time for my reading in April and nope, had to reschedule. Came time for my appointment in May and guess what? RESCHEDULED. My last appointment was scheduled for the end of August and surprise surprise...sorry but have to reschedule again! He was sick this last time and yet posted about how he launched his makeup line a couple days later! Look, I know sometimes things happen, but every scheduled reading had an issue? Every time I had to reschedule, I would get a call the week of my reading with another issue and another need to cancel and reschedule. I asked for a refund. Conveniently he says "no refunds" but has NO problem taking your money and not giving the reading. I contacted my bank and because I gave this scammer the benefit of the doubt and tried to work with him, I was beyond the refund point. So now, I am out $375 and had no reading. Had I known that I could have gotten my money back due to paying for a service not rendered, I would have contacted my bank sooner. It truly is sad that people scam others. He clearly has no conscious, no dignity and no respect. I believe in karma and hopefully he gets what's coming to him for scamming people out of their hard earned money. Make sure you read the reviews here in full before choosing this business -- you'll see there's a trending issue: **Daniel cancels appointments and keeps your money no matter what. He uses their "Terms and Conditions" as an excuse to not refund your money back, ever. Cancellation reasons were office closure (on a date they scheduled...?), internet issues, illness (I saw him at the gym posting on Instagram the same day he cancelled on me because of illness). I was always cooperative, kind and understanding, but when I reasonably asked to part ways and get my money back, he refused. He also blocked me via email so I couldn't get our back and forth communication in writing. I am a working mom and cannot continually set aside time, hire sitters, etc for appointments that get cancelled. Something such as a medium reading is built on trust and connection -- I obviously lost that after being cancelled on various times last minute and treated with his very condescending tone. Rescheduling again and again was not an option after THAT many cancellations and that kind of rapport. Is that the type of relationship you want with someone when diving into extremely personal and vulnerable experiences? Not me. He may be a medium, but unfortunately he does not know how to run a proper business. I wasn't going to write this review but Daniel forced my hand. I had an appointment with him which HE canceled because there was a weather alert. However, we could have done a Zoom meeting, which he refused to do. We rescheduled for a month later. Even though he canceled and we never met, he charged me the $350. I called his assistant and said, just save it for our rescheduled meeting. On the way to that meeting a month later, his assistant called and canceled again, saying Daniel had an emergency. By that time, I got a weird feeling (especially since I'd read a review here that he had canceled on someone 3 times and she never got her money back). So I told his assistant to just give me my money back and I wouldn't see him. Daniel refused, even though HE canceled both times and I never had my reading. I've had several readings from him and they have great qualities to them...there's problems though. The first being his prices have literally doubled from when I first started seeing him. Also, he gets very distracted and starts going off topic about himself, his dogs, etc. which is great if it was like after the reading, but not during an hour that I'm paying a ton of money for. Not to mention his tangents (and a lot of swearing) are on my recordings. If you're going to raise your prices more than any other medium having less experience than most around, be better at staying focused. Also, the cancelling is real. Out of 4 readings, every single one of them was cancelled at least once. One was cancelled while I was standing in the hallway waiting for my meeting to start. I've also had zooms that he either cancelled or gave up after 3 minutes of technical difficulties. Once he cancels, you're SOL for a long time too. If you're going to cancel a ton, pick up an extra day and fix all your backed up bookings. There's so few days to choose from each week, there could clearly be more reading days. Drop something else and fix reschedulings that are making your clients angry with you. I've gone elsewhere now...someone with twice the experience, half the price, and an incredible ready every time. I purchased a past life reading session from Daniel back in November of 2018. My appointment was scheduled for June of 2019. The week of my appointment his assistant called to cancel because Daniel has "personal business" to attend to. I willingly rescheduled. I live three hours away from Daniels office. On the day of my next appointment he contacted me when I was thirty minutes away to let me know that the building, where his office is located, had a bomb threat and he would need to cancel and once again he asked me to reschedule, I did. My third appointment, I was approximately 30 minutes out and Daniel called to cancel, again, this time he claimed it was a blown tire. At this point he offered a full refund. I accepted. I didn't hear from them for two weeks at which point I reached out to them. They informed me that since I had rescheduled the appointment they wouldn't give me a refund, but a gift card. The inconvenience of time and money that I had put out in my traveling to attend an appointment he couldn't fulfill was frustrating. I was not going to attempt a fourth visit. Since telling them I didn't want a gift card, but a refund. The last time I heard from them was September 23rd, 2020.
