This company has dropped the ball on our homeowner's renewal insurance for three years in a row…read more Now I'm getting calls from our mortgage company about the lapsed insurance and no contact or coverage. I have to call this company every year and remind THEM that the insurance coverage is lapsed. Why? Isn't that their job? Apparently not. I recently talked to a young lady yesterday at Shepherd's about more notification of our lapsed insurance (due September 6th, and here it's the 24th) from the mortgage company and gave her all the information she needed to remedy the problem, yet she would not accept the account number the company gave me, so suddenly I am receiving calls from the mortgage company that the insurance is still lapsed. The young lady claimed she submitted by mail a renewal notification, but it wasn't renewed and the mailed copy never arrived at my mailbox. Additionally, every year we never receive notification of renewal, and usually only hear from the mortgage company that it has lapsed. If I have to do their job for them, then why are we using them? Infuriating, especially when the money is in escrow and all they have to do is call and renew and fax the updated documents to the mortgage company. Also, three different agents in three years, wow! No wonder nobody does anything, as they are never there long enough to do so! Very unhappy with this 'service'.
