Harada came to visit him at the hospital even though he wasn't the doctor who was treating my husband.

It's 2026 & I've been looking for the right place to do a review on this dr 20 years ago. After all…read morethese years I am still wondering what we did wrong during our second visit with him and after my husband's second total knee replacement on the same knee. Dr. Suga just dropped us as a patient, just like that, even saying good luck, take care and all this good stuff before the surgery. After rehab, we tried to make an appointment to see him but he wouldn't speak to us and after a while they wouldn't pick up their phone. I knew he had just opened up his business, & I would've gone there for an explanation but I sort of suspected, till today, that this dr didn't really care for my (spouse)answering all the questions directed to my husband at the time of our first visit. I may have sounded like a domineering wife to him but I knew my husband to be forgetful, especially the trauma he had gone through with his first TNR. I must say I am surprised Dr. Suga is still doing business. He was not there when my husband needed him the most after surgery, not even a phone call to check how he was doing. Anyway, we are blessed to find a real PCP. Dr Suga, was it prejudice, was it insurance, do you not like women? What was it???

I do not recommend Dr Suga. He abandoned our 88 yrs old father when he was the most vulnerable…read morefollowing a fall from the ceiling. Dr Suga gave us (daughters) no indication of this termination. In fact, we learned about this when we called his office to follow up. He had his receptionist, "Maria", relay to us that, "He will not speak to you (or your father)". Not only did Dr Suga suddenly ended his treatment, but he couldn't even explain to us what happened. I believe that Dr. Suga didn't like us sharing our thoughts/ideas for our dad's care (eg. Dr stated that our dad was "depressed" and "lazy" when we felt his symptoms could be from a stroke w/speech and gait issues). We suggested an MRI and Dr Suga reluctantly agreed. The results confirmed a Subdural Hematoma. In the end, Dr didn't do LTC forms as he said he would. This would help us get the appropriate services and financial support for our dad's treatment. And Maria said, " Dr Suga will not be filling out the forms ... and he will no longer be (our dad's) PCP". It's been about 6mos since Dr Suga terminated our dad. It's taken us time to start from ground zero while "on the fly" helping our dad get his medical care. Gratefully the new PCP is caring, sharp, professional and welcomes the family as part of the team. We look to a PCP that has our dad's best interest in mind. Unfortunately, Dr Suga did more harm than good.

Dr. Kobayashi has always been professional and upfront when discussing my medical conditions and options. So far, he has always been there when I needed him and have no complaints. I have a pretty good bullshit meter, and the doctor has always passed with flying colors. I'm not surprised by the bad reviews here only because of the nature of the medical profession. Medical doctors are professionals exercising judgment based upon observations and standards. What looks like a mistake in judgment may actually be consistent with medical standards based on the specific observations, or one of several reasonable conclusions that may or may not prove to be accurate. There is an inherent element of the unknown when it is not possible to do invasive tests or imaging scans for patients with symptoms that do not rise to certain levels. And sometimes people just make mistakes. The bottom line is if you feel your physician may be wrong, then ask for a second medical opinion. I don't consider asking for a second opinion to be rude or insulting, but even if it were, it wouldn't stop me where my health is at stake. I feel for people who may be overly trusting or not aware of the right to ask for a second opinion, but I doubt that there any perfect doctors that never need to have their opinions verified.

It was always crowded, super long wait and I barely understood the doctor. I finally took matters into my own hands, looked online and found Alohi Clinic. Although I can't speak from first hand experience with the appointment, my other half had no complaints. But what I can say is booking online was easy for me and when I had to adjust times, calling was just as easy. There is a code to get into the building, which they give you, and the waiting area is a good space nice cool and quiet. They offer services like facials, hair removal, etc. but they also are an internal medicine practice so you can come for normal PCP stuff. It's pretty great. The wait is quick, the front desk is friendly and the office is clean. So far it's been great with this clinic and I'm glad we found it.

From our very first visit, Dr. Coelho made us feel completely at ease. He's incredibly knowledgeable and thorough, but what really stands out is the way he takes his time to explain everything clearly -- not just the "what," but the "why." You never feel rushed or like just another appointment on the schedule. There's something about the care he provides that feels personal and comforting -- almost like being "at home." That's hard to put into words, but it truly makes a difference. For the first time, I can honestly say I'll never dread going to see my primary care doctor again. If you're looking for a physician who combines professionalism, compassion, and genuine connection, I can't recommend Dr. Coelho at Alohi Clinic enough.
