I had surgery to remove part of my prostate 6 months ago by Dr. Daniel Cohen. This is an update to help anyone having prostate issues. I put off surgery because of so many possible side affects that can occur. Yes, you will spend a lot of time waiting in the office to see Dr. Cohen. Suck it up. He is worth the wait. I have been in the office only 6 times total. Only 2 times did I have longer waiting times. Now the good part. No side affects. I had two procedures because I had a protruding bladder opening he also fixed. I had bleeding for about 4 weeks. This was longer than normal but I had a more complicated surgery. All done by computer. He maps out what he wants removed and the computer does only that part which leaves your sexual functions intact and I have had no urine seepage whatsoever. He is the best Dr. in the world in my opinion. Wish I had done it earlier. Has changed my enjoyment of life immeasurably. He is a Dr. not an ass kisser. Do you want it fixed or not. He can actually do it and does so with great care. Can not recommend him highly enough. read more

This Dr. has a God complex. He believes his hype and maybe rightfully so. However, his skills as a Dr aside, his office is a shit show. They cancel appointments with little to no notice. When you call to reschedule, they deny anyone cancelled the appointment. When you are lucky enough to actually have an appointment that you show up early for, if you're lucky, 3 hours later you might actually see the Dr. If you get medicine prescribed, it's always for 1 cycle only with no refills. When you call for a refill, the receptionist immediately puts you on hold. 15 minutes later she might answer or she might not. More than likely the VRU sends you to an extension that tells you to leave a message. Ok, except the inbox is FULL and is not accepting messages. Good things are worth waiting for I have seen him for my scoliosis issues when I was 17th. He was the only one doctor to be conservative. I have not been under the knife because of him. I was 17 and now 62 and I have followed his advise for over 15 years and I rock and thank God for all of his advise. Worst urology place u can go to. I was scheduled to have a procedure at 12 pm. I was left on an exam room table alone with sedation in my iv. Nobody checked on me for three hours. That was not o ly wrong, but dangerous. read more

So many patients complain of the wait, but few respond to the amazing understanding he brings to you. I must admit that I am one of those who dislike the fact that age has approached, and the invasion of the forbidden fruits is not what I consider a nice day out. But Dr Cohen is so amazing that I left with a glow that my wife recognized the challenge was nothing other than a fulfillment of the commitment of keeping my priorities in check. Sure, I waited half an hour in the waiting room and an additional hour in the examining room. Yes, I was a wee bit upset and contemplating leaving not understanding why such a brilliant mind can make one wait so long. But stop there. The reason is that his compassion is so strong that he undoubtedly has to struggle with each patient to leave. I know I kept him longer than I should have, and the sad thing is, he is so forbidden in telling you that he has to leave because he cares very much. Is the wait worth it? By far, if you have a heart that wants to feel the warmth of compassion when so many doctors rush in and out, he stays until you understand all options. I'll never be the one who complains again, for the time waited is quickly forgotten as you leave. I feel fortunate that he is here in Central Florida and he has the time for me. read more

Good Doctor ! That being said, they deliberately overbook or they are clueless ! Waited over 3 hrs one time, walked out another time . Had a shouting match with him, calling out his total cluelessness about making old people wait for hours to see him . Takes over 4 days to get a script refilled . This the text I sent him ! He texted back "Who is this ? Be polite ! Dr Cohen , last week I waited 5 days and it took a call by me and a fax by the pharmacy to get medication. This is 3rd time it's taken 5 days + to get medication over the past 3 years . I was told it was sent to your "care team" by your office. After our "discussion " 2 weeks ago and the fact I'm pretty certain either you've have no control over what's going on with your staff of 20 plus people, or your office manager isn't telling you what's going on, OR you don't care ! You are a great Doctor, read YOUR yelps ! There is a SYSTEMIC problem in your office ! No one should have to wait 2 hours for a Doctor/ medical treatment. ITS THE NORMAL at your office. I have found a different Doctor, I was in and out in a hour . At my GP I'm in and out in less than a hour ! I'll b filling out paperwork for your "staff" to send my records to my new Doctor. Please start treating your clients better . We as old folks deserve better. I've since quit him ! read more

Don't go there if u have any type of depression or anxiety. Went for a procedure in office about two years ago. He's anesthesiologist left me with an iv drip of anti anxiety meds on an exam table. I layed there four hours no joke. Because my appointment was for noon, got seen at 4 pm. The anesthesiologist tried to diagnose me as well, very old nasty person. Dr. Cohen is the most knowledgeable and professional urologist I have ever seen! He and his staff are warm and friendly. He has a large number of patients he has to see. And, sometimes he is in surgery at either Orlando Health or Advent. I sometimes have to see someone else. i always get wonderful treatment from whomever I see. Sometimes I have to wait a while but I truly don't mind. I would not go see any other urologist. Why? Because Dr. Cohen is the best. He is honest, caring, extremely knowledgeable, and I trust him. He tells you exactly what he is going to do before he does it in terms I understand. I appreciate all of his staff and certainly thank Dr. Cohen for being the most amazing Doctor! An awful experience. They only seem to have PA's and the doctor is never there. The place needs cleaning and the staff needs better people skills. Rude and brusque. I can't say anything about Cohen because i never saw him only his minions. Thank goodness my condition is back to normal and never setting foot in there again! read more

I have to say Dr Daniel Cohen save my life because I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2022 my previous urologist who diagnosed me with a Gleason scale of six which went less than a year later to a 63+4 leaving my right side quadrant completely compromise with cancer. He told me that my best course of action would be Radiation. I went for a second opinion and I'm so glad I did with Dr. Cohen and he strongly suggested after reading my records that I get surgery because he explained to me if they do radiation and if it comes back, you have no other option left. You can't do surgery once you do radiation then told me to have Dr. Vip Patel Do the surgery because he has done 18,000 robotic surgeries I am now cancer free I owe it all to Daniel Cohen read more

Dr Daniel Cohen is one of the most UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE doctors I have EVER encountered. My mother was visiting FL from another country and needed an emergency procedure. Although I appreciate his efforts to perform this last minute procedure, his approach and attitude was very condescending. He entered the room in a backwards cap and sweatpants with a pleasant attitude. Greeted us and made us feel welcomed. The "act" only lasted 30 seconds. He proceeded to explain follow up appointments and additional treatment after the procedure. Once my mother explained to him that she was from another country, his tone and attitude completely changed towards her. He completely BELITTLED her for being from another county (which happened to be the same country he's from LOL, seems like buddy forgot his roots). This made the rest of the experience VERY uncomfortable. My mother nor any patient deserves that kind of treatment. The procedure was successfully performed, but unfortunately, LESS than 24 hours later, his billing department calls my mother to DEMAND the money needed from the procedure. My mother was STILL in pain and trying to recover and the only thing these heartless "providers" could think about was MONEY. Take off the backwards cap and sweatpants and show some professionalism. The money your office demanded will not contribute to your Red Ferrari. He doesn't even deserve the 1 star I gave. This WILL NOT be the last time this office will hear from me. While Dr Cohen may be a skilled physician, I would NEVER recommend this practice. The wait times are ridiculous. His staff and himself have no compassion for the patients or they would stop overbooking. This includes his ability to maintain a proper surgery schedule at the ambulatory center. Overscheduled and delays for a lunch break. Unacceptable. Take fewer patients and less income if that what it takes. Esp since most of the patients, other than the vasectomy factory, are elderly. read more

Don't waste your time booking here. He's always triple booked out. Unfortunately the people who suffer are the patients, waiting literally HOURS. I was told that he only does procedures on Mondays and Tuesdays but also is working in a hospital. Why do they continue to book him this way if it's a known issue? VERY POOR MANAGEMENT. read more

The Staff was really nice, but they should definitely train their receptionist better! They had a very bad attitude, (blond and red hair girl) they both were very rude! Dr Cohen is a good doctor, unfortunately the way his office is run has a very bad impact on him. Had apt at 3 pm left the office at 7;30 pm. There seems to be no manager, the staff has no clue how to run a medical office, noone answers the phones and if they do noone knows an answer to anything, super bad comunication. You leave messages and noone returns them, it seems obvious he doesnt care much about his office, patients or reputation or the office staff keeps him in the dark so he does not find out. Dr. Cohen was consulted when I was in the hospital (for a totally different reason) as it was discovered I had low left kidney function while I was there. The doctors and staff at Dr. Cohen's office make you feel like you are a number passing through their office. They do not explain things to you and just want to tell you what needs to be done and then do it. No options (I was first told kidney needed to be removed due to low function. Now trying to see if kidney improves with stent - was not given this option at first). They simply do not care about you and I felt like I was nothing but a bother to them as I didn't agree to the kidney removal right away. Janet, the P.A. is the only one that will at least listen and talk to you (not at you) and seems to have some empathy for what you are going through. Unfortunately, my first follow up after leaving the hospital was not with her. I regret that I had the stent placed by Dr. Cohen while I was in the hospital and now having to follow up with him and his staff. I wished I had waited until I was discharged from the hospital and consulted with another urologist. read more

Dr. Cohen is a very good Dr. and very knowledgeable. However, His office is a unorganized mess. You are on hold for 15 to 20 min. When you arrive for any appointment plan on being there for 3 hours. They are overwhelmed to say the least. This could be a sign of a good Dr. but very mismanaged. read more

This office could care less about its patients making appointments with Dr. Cohen. While the doctor maybe knowledgeable, nice and all the fluffs of bedside manner; his Staff is messy and careless for the lack of better words. Eventually, his incompetent staff will plummet his practice. We called a month and 2 weeks ago for an appointment. Went through all the due diligence regarding health insurance acceptance. They person I'm verifying everything with confirms "Yes, we accept your insurance and we will see you at you appointment." The office emails all paperwork that need to be filled out. Can you believe, 72 hours before the Monday morning appointment they called at 4:45pm Friday (they close at 5pm) to say, "we are sorry, your insurance is not accepted as the primary insurance at our office." Tried calling them back and the recording comes on. Fast forward, Monday morning (today) I call to learn what happened. I'm told "oh we decided a month ago were no longer accepting the insurance as a primary." I say, "it would have been nice for someone to call and state this prior to waiting up to date of appointment. We could have made an appointment elsewhere by now." The responses are nonchalant and stoic. If you have an emergency need or require empathy from this doctor's staff, find somewhere else. The business or office manager need to do some assessments for this office. read more

I made a BIG mistake going to this Dr. He shows up when you are in the hospital, and gives you one of his business cards. (I was not in the hospital for urinary problems) This Dr. is in central Florida, I am now getting mysterious bills from places in California, total over $1,000.00 and I have no idea what these bills are for.. Also I have a swollen "prostate" , he scoped me (first) then done a flow test, yes I had great flow after being opened up with the scope. By the time I drove back home it was difficult for me to urinate again. I should have had the flow test before being scoped. There is something wrong with this situation. It appears the office help does not know if the Dr. will show up for work or not, after he does not show up they start calling and saying, "he has an emergency". I tell you this guy has more emergencies than any other Dr. I know. After months of visits I am no better off now than before I started going to him. read more

Took great care of me when I was in agony! (Kidney Stones, ouch!!) They were able to squeeze me into the schedule and got me through a tough situation. Yes, they are busy and the parking lot is small (from the other reviews), but good care is sometimes hard to find. Maybe that's why they are busy. I would park 10 blocks away if I had to. Two thumbs up for Dr. Cohen and his team. Office staff is fantastic too. Thanks!! PS: I would *not* use the imaging place right down stairs. When I was on vacation, I was taken to the hospital with sever Right flank pain. As a kidney stone sufferer - I knew what the issue was. Dr Cohen was like no other urologist I have seen. He didn't mix words and told me what needed to be done. His team in the hospital and in the office are professional and caring! Because of him and his team, I drive from FL Space Coast to be seen. Will not go to another urologist and have recommended him to friends and family. read more

If you are planning on using this physician, be prepared. You may want to pack a lunch and allow significant extra time. Their parking situation is deplorable, inadequate and needs to be addressed. I allowed a car to take a parking place over me since I thought it was some poor patient in my dilemma, but it was an employee!!! Shouldn't they reserve the few places for paying patients? The imaging center on the first floor shares the building with 3 doctors. The imaging center says that the doctor (Dr. Cohen) must be very busy and tends to overbook. Since I had seen another doctor in that office, I can believe it - the office management is lacking, seriously lacking. I will not go back to that office. It is unfortunate for the other building occupants. read more
