This is a delightful little café that has appropriate parking located in a small strip. The service is quick and friendly. They have several seating options. The food is prepared well and it's decent. I've tried the French toast and the pancake and the chicken and waffles, which were all decent. If you like to keep your flavor, straightforward, delicate and simple then you will likely like this restaurant. I had a nice time but likely won't return since i like spicier food. read more

This was my second attempt at coming here. The first time the line was crazy as I came close to brunch time. This time around I came earlier around 9:00am and although they were busy, the line was not too bad and there were several available tables. The restaurant is on the smaller side so it has a very cozy feel. It's on the casual side as you order up at the front and they give you a number and bring your food to you. We ordered several entrees to share which were the BLTA (bacon lettuce tomato avocado), the lox bagels, and the lemon blueberry French toast stix. Dandelion Cafe I'm very grateful to have found this place while searching for the Houston festivities for Beyoncé's homecoming. I arrived shortly after opening, maybe around 7:15/7:20am to beat the crowd (there was a rush at 7:45am on a Saturday). The music was slightly loud for 7am and for four patrons, but not so much where people were shouting over it. There's a sign that tells you to order before sitting down, so I ordered from the Beyhive Entourage menu inspired by Beyoncé's two Houston stops for her Renaissance world tour - the Queen Bee Frappe and Honey Butter Chicken Sandwich. After sitting I took a look around and I soaked in the decor. Digital menu screens, flowers on the walls, greenery on the ceilings, tabletops that reminded me of baklava (I know this is a strange reference). Besides a small puddle on the floor in the corner, it was very clean and the menus were very clear and legible. I also noticed that they provided free Wi-Fi. When your name is called, you go to the counter to pick up your beverage. That's where I collected my frappe which tasted good and sweet. They added gold flakes and a gold straw to embody the honey vibe. I couldn't drink it all. Even though I ordered a small it was still a lot for me to digest. The honey butter chicken sandwich was amazing, too. The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender inside with great seasoning. The honey/syrup was a little too much. It was so sweet that I grew tired of tasting it and it soaked through the bottom biscuit on the sandwich which turned soggy. The biscuits themselves were also good. They didn't have too much flavor to compete or overwhelm the chicken and honey which I am grateful for. Adding new items to restaurant menus are almost entirely a hit or miss, but I really loved my meal overall. I'm so glad I neglected my original breakfast plans. read more

Finally took the half hour drive over to the 2023 "americas best breakfast spot" according to GMA. Its a quaint spot-the seats are pretty close together. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the staff was very nice and attentive while we were there. Overall good experience. Dandelion has an array of coffees and mimosas. My table neighbor was having the avocado toast which looked fresh and delicious. Next time But we came for Dandelion's award winning dish. Chicken and Waffles. The chicken was nicely spiced and crunchy, the syrup balances with sweet and spicy. We also had an order of the pancakes (for me). The chicken was also tasty along side the pancakes with banana. The cakes are large (Consider ordering one! ) and just the perfect texture. All in all, we enjoyed the meal and experience. We will definitely return to Dandelion. read more

All the food was amazing, and everyone was friendly. The only drawback was it was HOT in there idk if the AC was out, and also the order and THEN seat yourself (that is why I gave a 4 star). I didn't like that, it was quite a few ppl in there so while we were in line we had to snag up a table and push 2 tables together and it was just a little chaotic especially with 2 kids. If we had not been on the lookout for a table we would've had no where to sit, so I'm not sure how that works. Would like to take my family when they come in town to visit but this is not the place for large parties, so I would like have to research a slow time of day to go. Such a cute place for brunch and to grab coffee and study. There's a parking lot with ample parking outside. Service is very do it yourself - you get your own cups, your own silverware, your own water and order at the counter. The waiters will bring the dishes to you. The food is great here! I highly recommend the pancakes, which are very fluffy--and I always ask for the blueberries to be cooked into the batter itself so that the blueberries burst and the juice goes into the cakes. Such a cute little place. Went at about 11:30 pretty busy since this is a smaller establishment. This has probably been the BEST customer service I've had in awhile . Manager was wonderful checking in on guest the staff were on it as well. Got the customers seated and taken care of in a ORGANIZED fashion. Now to the food. I got the BLTA omg! Thus it is inevitable that the table next to you could hear your conversations, and vice versa. Staff were friendly and always smiling. The food came out quick and warm. I had the omelette which has baby kale, spinach, mushrooms, and cheddar. It came with a side of hash browns. The ingredients were fresh, and the omelette was cooked perfectly. I also had the blueberry lemon curd French toast stix which had a great presentation. I thought it would be sweet but it was the opposite. The French toast stix were beautifully cooked. The lemon curd was just a tad sour. It had smooth silky texture. I enjoyed the candied lemon. Great contrast of textures in a dish. Because it is Mimosa Monday, I had the pomegranate orange mimosa at a great price. The mimosa was good. Definitely worth the try. Overall I love the food, love the ambience, and love the service. Wow... I have no idea how that beat Breakfast Klub!!!! Like mind blown... I wasn't blown away after my first visit but this visit took the cake. Since being on GMA I thought I'd give them a second chance and got the chicken and waffle plate. $20 for the plate!! Chicken was not fresh!! I repeat, NOT FRESH! I sent it back once and they threw it on a hot plate and brought it back?!? Like I don't want chicken that was cooked 15 mins ago... for $20 Then my waffle, an eggo waffle has more crisp to it. Then I flipped mine over and it was burnt on the under side.. like what?!? Serve me the nice looking side and hid the burnt.. wow. Sent back and new waffle came out floppy. Sheesh Then my sunny side up eggs, I paid extra for these and my egg white wasn't even cooked .. aww man sent this back also. This has to be the worst chicken and waffles I've ever eaten. It had a decent flavor the piece I did eat but it was cold and kind of rubbery because it wasn't fresh. I couldn't even say if it did have good flavor to be honest ..I won't lie to u guys. Still love Dandelion in Bellaire. Updating because it continues to shine, food is delicious and consistent. Service is friendly and quick, even in busy times. The espresso couldn't be better, and the staff is always accommodating to specifications. I am looking forward to their renovation which will allow for more space and more than one bathroom! And if I would have gotten my sandwich with focaccia bread, it would have been more. The small cappuccino was good, but I find a small cappuccino for $5 overpriced. It's not too big of an establishment but the ambiance resembles a moderately crowded cafe in New York. The tables are quite close together and the service is quick. You pull up to the front counter to order, pay, and then they bring it to you. Surprisingly, people dining in are in and out quickly. I got the avocado toast and that bad boy was filling. It came with a bowl of fruit to which I kindly asked to just have banana and they happily did it. The wait wasn't too bad for the food either. This is a good find and worth trying. read more

Hands down my new favorite joint! The service here is beyond anything I've been to in a very long time! The chicken and waffle is extremely interesting! The added cornbread keeps it moist with soaking up every bit of the syrup they give you! I'm a huge syrup fan, so if you are, ask for an additional one! This along side the chicken was very very delicious! The chicken was seasoned to perfection! It's always interesting to get chicken thighs over the usual strips, and I'm not hating whatsoever! My wife got the biscuits and gravy but ended up paying extra to go with the chicken and waffles. She wasn't a fan of the gravy even though it was VERY tasty over the biscuits. To each their own. Lastly, the ambiance of the restaurant was sweetened by the Vanilla Latte that we had. There were actual bits of vanilla in it that were evident bye the black dots on top. I do not recommend coming here. Came in excited, even though the line was long we decided to stay. It is a small place, so when we were over midway through the line I had my wife go take a seat at an open table. The manager told her to get up and that we couldn't sit until we had ordered. Sure, she got up. However, then when we were the next up in line about to order I sat down at a table and was told I could not sit down and had to get back up. I stopped my wife from ordering, handed the manager his menu back and left immediately. Terrible service, & made us extremely uncomfortable at the thought of staying there after that. Obviously limited seating. This had nothing to do with the food and everything to do with how we were treated as customers. If seating is such an issue, maybe try getting a bigger space? Funny because I see an almost identical 1 star review stating the same thing. I certainly will never go back there! read more
