I always feel weird when shops like this take advantage of that heritage and capitalize on a culture that they are not a part of. I could be wrong-maybe it's owned by indigenous people, but the woman behind the counter certainly did not appear to be. That aside, this is a very eclectic place with a wide variety of souvenirs, gifts and goodies that may appeal to many people. I bought a couple items to take home as gifts, but noted that the quality of most of the things I saw make me believe that they probably won't last too long.

I wish I could give Koko's Flowers & Gifts zero stars…read more Koko's was the local florist used to fulfill a birthday order that had been placed through Avas Flowers for delivery to me while I was staying in the Aspen/Glenwood Springs area. The original gift was supposed to include a very large floral arrangement, chocolates, and a personal closing on the card from the sender. What I actually received was a very small arrangement, NO chocolates, and the personal closing the sender had written was omitted from the card. I initially had no idea anything was wrong because I was simply grateful and happy to receive birthday flowers. It was only after I sent the sender a photograph of what had been delivered that he realized how different the delivery was from what he had ordered. We then tried to get the situation corrected. The sender personally spoke with Koko's Flowers & Gifts today about the missing chocolates. At 2:01 p.m., he messaged me and told me that he had spoken with the florist and that the mother told him her daughter was ON HER WAY to deliver the chocolates that should have been included with the original order. It is now after 5:00 p.m. No chocolates were delivered. No one called me. No one texted me. No one contacted me at all. So not only was the original order improperly fulfilled, but after being given an opportunity to correct one of the missing items, Koko's specifically represented that the chocolates were on their way -- and they still never arrived. This is not a minor floral substitution or a matter of personal taste. Parts of a paid-for gift were simply not delivered, the floral arrangement bore little resemblance in size to what the sender believed he had purchased, a meaningful portion of the card message was omitted, and then a promised corrective delivery never happened. What is especially upsetting is that this was a birthday gift someone put considerable thought and effort into arranging from hundreds of miles away. A florist is being entrusted with more than flowers in situations like this. They are being trusted to carry out someone else's gesture of love, celebration or sympathy accurately and with care. ; Promising that a missing item is "on the way" and then failing to deliver it, without so much as a phone call or text, is simply unacceptable. Based on my experience, I UPcannot recommend Koko's Flowers & Gifts for an important occasion. If someone is trusting you to deliver a meaningful gift on their behalf, they deserve to know that what they paid for will actually arrive and that promises made to correct mistakes will actually be kept. UPDATE: Today they did deliver the chocolates with a stuffed bear. For some reason though, no name again from the sender. Should have been done right the first time. Shouldn't take a bad review or constant phone calls to get what you order right and then get hung up on because you are firm about customer service. Thank you.

From skulls to crystals & jewelers to dream catchers & cowboy hats, so many good finds! The have 2 very cutie fur babies in the shop too . Favorite piece for sure is my new skull necklace - I love the idea behind the momento mori and had been looking for a statement jewelry piece to represent it for awhile.
