Studio is by far the most resonably priced studio around and all the teachers really care about your kids. On this occasion the lesson was Rumba, the class starts out with the basic steps then more steps are added, usually a turn is added by the end of class you've learned a whole pattern. After our first studio closed its doors, we landed at Cinema Ballroom and we couldn't be happier. This place is essentially one big open dance floor that's always filled with several other dancers, either practicing for competition on their own or taking a lesson. As someone who is just casually learning, I am always impressed by the skill level of other dancers I see on a given night. It seems like a LOT of dedicated professionals choose this studio to practice, including the talented instructors...big shoutout to our all star teachers Jon and Nadine! I highly recommend asking for Mary if you're new! She even took a video of us dancing so we can practice on our own time. David was awesome! David is super knowledgeable and willing to share with newbies like us. He laid the groundwork so we could grow in our experience! We can't wait to come back and learn all the dances!! Thank you for being so patient with me and my fiancé. We will look like pros on our wedding day! The entire staff was also gracious to allow us to move our appointment times to fit our schedule. Performance review:…read more I paid for a ticket to see their spring show, which was delightful! It's too bad they don't use a local theater tho, bc the sight lines are not great. The performance was in their regular studio, with some risers, but not enough to be able to see the dancers' feet most of the time. Still, I enjoyed myself and I like to support local arts. I'm 99% sure that I was the only ticket purchased by someone who didn't know a performer. They had concessions, which were pay cash for tickets and then trade tickets for food (and maybe games?) But either someone didn't do the math well, or they were just being really weird bc they made us buy tickets in a number that we had leftovers but couldn't use them...without buying even more.
