I had an appointment with Gina Yesnik at 10am on July 8th to take wedding photos at Alyeska resort. Gina no showed us, after half an hour passed I was concerned she had been in an accident after two hours and several texts and voicemails I realized she wasn't coming and was not responding to any calls or messages. Several hours later I requested my money, plus hair and make up back on PayPal, she quickly refunded me. However she still never responded or called me back to apologize. This is incredibly unprofessional and heart breaking.

Excited even made me smile with excitement. She had so many great ideas, amazing props. Her personality was what was needed to make things flow so easy. Almost like I was with family. He was extremely personable and really knew his stuff. He not only explained how to do the preparation but WHY we were doing it and how it worked. We had a great four hours for this class and got to eat a delicious meal at the end of it. Bring a few storage containers as you will be taking a lot home with you. All you needed to bring was a chopping knife, a cutting board, and a fun attitude. This is a great gift idea for anyone, even a proficient home cook. Good for a group up to nine people. We did not have a good experience with Twig & Bloom.  Though we were initially drawn to and pleased…read morewith Joanne's designs and aesthetic, several issues arose in the early stages of planning.  There was a severe lack of communication - unfortunately she was not prompt in her messaging and would often take up to a week or more to respond to emails (often without an out of office reply or an apology).  Additionally she was not forthcoming about additional artist fees in the initial invoice, which resulted in our having to re-negotiate the contract. Lastly, and perhaps the biggest issue, was her inflexibility around cancellation pertaining to the current COVID pandemic. While the initial contract did indicate that all deposits were non-refundable (which, in a pre-COVID time was understandable), she was not sympathetic or understanding of the situation which ultimately resulted in our having to cancel the wedding.  We were able to secure some of the deposit back after weeks of messaging back and forth (again often waiting days for a reply), but this was not done without debate and she was not willing to relinquish the entire sum.  I would be wary of this with regards to booking in the upcoming months and the continued uncertainty around events with large groups.  Overall this ended up being the most difficult and disappointing interaction of all our vendors in Saskatoon, and as such Twig & Bloom cannot be recommended in good faith.

There was a kid who loved to scream as he/she got on and off the elevator. Awesome! The bed was comfy. There were a couple chocolates next to the bed. There was a minifridge and Keurig coffee maker in the room. WIFI was free ... I found it fairly speedy. Parking was $15/night in the garage next door (if you catch the right elevator, you can go to your level in the parking garage from the hotel). There was a restaurant/bar in the lobby and lots within walking distance. The microwave and clock were both set 15 minutes fast. You'd think the person cleaning the room would have noticed. I tried to fix the time on the clock but couldn't figure it out. So when I woke up in the middle of the night, I did some math to figure out the correct time.
