Terrible customer service…read more I ordered a pair a shoes which arrived and were horribly uncomfortable. I took them into the shop in London and was greeted by less than friendly shop assistants who said they can't exchange them in the shop - I had to post them back. So after spending money on the return postage (they don't do free returns) I was told they can't refund the shoes because the soles were too dirty. I had tried the shoes on for a BRIEF moment at home before finding them horribly uncomfortable and immediately putting them away and sending them back. Absolutely ridiculous. I'm now stuck with a horrible pair of shoes and thirty pounds poorer.

The place has a sort of 90s atmosphere (or maybe for me that bought dancewear in the 90s the last time), but the things are very easy to find and the staff is very helpfull and nice. It haas everything a dancer would need, from underwear to the hair net for the bun. At the back there are sofas for the shoe fitting and a wall full of ballet shoes. I like most working parents are very limited on time and so we weren't able to visit the store in person, so we choose to do an online order for home delivery. I explained we are going away and I was worried the uniform would arrive whilst we were away on holiday, miss delivery and not be ready for starting his first day (we arrive home the day before term starts!) I was advised the trousers were showing as low stock, but Mandy did everything possible to ensure our order (in full) 20 items arrived promptly. IT ALL ARRIVED TODAY - less than 2 days from ordering. Everything is perfect despite not trying a single item on. I wanted to extend my thanks to such an easy process. We'll be back to store when we have outgrown this order. As it does get ridiculously busy and during these times actually getting served is rather an unrealistic luxury. It is much better to leave and come back at a quieter time than to spend many frustrating hours waiting. The staff here can be rather snotty with the mentality that Duo Dance is the centre of the universe, but as there are no other dancewear shops in the area or any that are so well stocked, this is something that you have to put up with.

Oh boy, was I wrong!!! Worst experience ever.... Thought while I'm there I will not only get the shoes, but the rest of the ballet uniform too. However, after realising the uniform is at least double the price in the shop, rather than online, I decided to not buy it and only get the shoes. The man working there, I believe he was the owner, started mocking me, imitating the facial expression I made when I heard the price, picking up the stuff and saying I did not have to buy anything at all, even though I said I will only buy the shoes. His behaviour and attitude towards me as his customer seriously disturbed me and I shall never be returning to this shop again.
