The South Shore Railroad station on Ridge Road is under construction; once the rail line is operating and traubs stopping at this location it would provide an option of accessing TATC fairly easily, but it would be a fairly long walk to the theatre, less than a mile. I do not know whether the City of Munster or TATC plan to provide a shuttle bus for the businesses along Ridge Road.

We came to experience a tribute to John Denver. As you enter the theater you will find a theater almost in the round. Every seat is a good seat. The sound was fantastic. The matinee was packed. I looked at the schedule and they offer quite a selection depending on your taste. You can eat lunch there if you make reservations. You will also find an art gallery, gift shop and another setting we did not see. The center is on the former site of Lanier School and the old library. What a great location near the highway and Illinois. The week before they hosted Munster's Got Talent. Take a day to explore the location. Visit Three Floyd's and stay overnight. I understand that very soon you will be able to take South Shore and leave the car behind.

The inside looked newly refreshed when you walked in. I was unable to purchase my tickets online but left a message. I received a call back and was able to purchase and have them waiting for us when we arrived. There is plenty of parking in front and on the side of the theater. Light snacks and drinks are available-not sure if it was cash only. The tiered seating was first come first served and was comfortable. The music was great and the costumes were as well. The performance for the most part was good. Some of the song ranges were slightly out of reach when not intentional but overall was entertaining. My two friends and I enjoyed it even though they weren't theatre people. They have opportunities to donate to worthy causes which they brief you on before the performance along with additional items not listed on the main program. Such as a jazz event that sounded like a come in and just enjoy versus an actual performance. Another thing to do that's different.

In the last few years, they have expanded their parking lot and gotten a new sound system. This year, they have added an additional bathroom to accommodate their large audience, updated their box office, and updated their kitchen. I do wish they expanded the types of shows they do to include a more diverse cast. i.e. less family dramas

It was cute and interesting at best. I would have liked for the people to had been a bit more.... dressed. It was like everyone had gotten off from work, with a come as you are type thing. Maybe I am a bit bourgeoisie. I am not sure which one is more accurate. Maybe a bit of both. It was clean and comfortable for the most part. I sat closer to the left side of the stage. So I was a bit cool from the doors opening and closing. I'm glad I was well dressed. I would say I felt completely out of place with heels and a pantsuit. Full makeup and hair was definitely overkill. Thank goodness we got a good parking space right out front. Curbside. I think I was a little worried during the intermission hearing someone outside in a drag car, burning tires with a little high pitched foreign car close on its tail. Maybe I should have walked outside. Who knows.... maybe I would have gotten a 2 for 1 show. I'm sure it would have been worth the $10 cover per person. Anyway. It wasn't bad... I laughed out loud a couple times and then a few times it was also crickets. I really think it's based on relatability. But, I would recommend you coming to check it out for yourselves:)

Dunmore Sr…read more We tried to give a event at Freedom Hall April 12, 2014 Where we were treat badly as a theater company of artist as we came under the name of Dunmore Music for our concert event. Our CEO rented the theater for our showcases of great artist that came from the community. He paid in full 1,600.00 for the full rental in two parts 800.00 deposit and the Friday before the event he paid 800.00. The CEO brought our own sound system in which the house engineer didn't approval of a JBL, EV, Crewin-Vega,Tascam 3500 System this was one of our best sound system. He acted as if we trying to hurt him in our goal to save money. As far as management of the theater they sided with him but took our money for the event. We had a great outstanding showcase it was our first major event as a theater company of artist. We had great people at our event from Ford Motor Co Assembly Plant and The Isley Bros Family Members. We had about 160 patrons to our event as we had plan to have many more events there. There was no trouble at our event and we had a great Powerhousevideo of Oak Lawn IL. filming our concert event. Now we also was a part of the community as renter of a recording studio Dunmore Music sound reinforcement company in Park Forest IL. on 25 Main Street for 8 to 9 years and we would do about 3-4 concert on the area called Greens in Park Forest IL. The manager was not to bad st all Ms.N.Fells she gave us that true break we needed as Mr. Chuck Sabey was good to us until his sound engineer wanted run our showcase which made it a problem. Now that when everything came falling down on us in our rental event of the theater for more than one event that we planned to do at least 10-20 concerts there at Freedom Hall in Park Forest IL. Freedom Hall responded by saying no by Mr. Chuck Sabey and Ms. N. Fells. This all came about because of the sound tech wanted control of our concert event showcase. This was not a fair in business at all to us as a team of great artist for our first event there. We have our event on youtube.com at Dunmore Music. They need to give us a total apologize as we did paid honest money for our concert event. This concert was organized by people, church members and sponsors who live in the surrounding communities and supported business in Park Forest IL area. Oh by the way this was a clean music event that was always order by our CEO Mr. Joseph C. Dunmore Sr. A very decent christian person that would give his best for our team at all cost.
