As a past pre-professional dancer, I really lost a big part of my life when I quit for college. The Atlanta Ballet offers some of the most solid ballet education classes that I've taken, apart from the dance classes I grew up on. The Adult Open classes are great for any dancer of any age, size and level. I myself enjoy the beginning/intermediate level and the intermediate level. I recently took the Tuesday night intermediate ballet class with Carol, which was hard for me to get accustomed to, since she has a different training style than I grew up on. But she recognized that and was very helpful. The studio itself is a bit outdated, located on the second floor of the Buckhead Centre plaza. There were two dance studios (that I could see), two dressing rooms and a large waiting area. The rooms aren't exactly soundproof so the music from the other studio leaked into ours pretty often. But you got used to it fast. Overall, a great class and experience at the Atlanta Ballet. I will definitely be back!

Before teachers were kind and open to teaching all students, but now teachers have stated "I don't want to teach older rec students". Furthermore, prices have absolutely sky rocketed. Cost of everything from this studio has gotten more than out of hand. Specifically the cost for my child to perform and the costume fee is outrageous. The company students are amazing at what they do, and absolutely get proper training and love from their teachers, but it's hard to say the same for the rec students. Money has obviously been the center of attention for this business. As an adult, and especially mother, I strongly advise you to not enroll your child/children into classes from this dance company unless they are joining as a company dancer.

This is the most hospitable and well organized fine arts and craft show I've ever had the pleasure of attending. Lots of amazing artists and craftsman from all over the country come just to Carrollton to exhibit. The show staff and head show a great deal of care as well. Even though it's very arts oriented its still something the family can enjoy. It's a 2 day event with an awards ceremony at the end. Artists are treated to a dinner and show by the art guild in Carrollton as well. For attendees I think it's a good chance to get some amazing one of a kind artworks-- from various painting mediums to pottery and sculpture and wood working, jewelry and more.

We spent or first year in dance at another studio and left with a bad taste in our mouths, but once we found the dance factory we were delighted our experience. The new building is beautiful with it's black and pink motif and has a sense of elegance with the crystal chandelier in the foyer. Even the bathrooms do not escape the owners attention to detail. If you are looking for a place to take your child (boy or girl) to learn dance I highly recommend the Dance Factory, you will not regret a moment spent with these wonderful people.
