Yes, it's bad design to have a window above the stove but I didn't design it and I do the best I can with it. One time I had another window washer tell me he could clean it. If they couldn't do it, they should have told me up front. Instead of simply doing what I wanted, they insisted on cleaning ALL of the windows in the house to "maintain their reputation." I agreed to it but that had them going into some private areas of the house when I had only been expecting workers in public areas. Don't get me wrong, they worked really hard all day long. They cleaned the screens and they sprayed down the garage door. They were here from 7am to 4pm. That was its own nightmare, of course, for my other family members were stressed out about having strangers in the house for so long. When I pointed out that I was disappointed that the window still looked bad, they tried to tell me how I could clean it myself. Ummm, that's why I hired supposed "professionals." He said, "Well I don't have a degreaser!" He couldn't ask me if I had one or pop over to Home Depot? They shouldn't have taken the job if it was beyond their abilities.
