I have had migraines for over 30 years and first started seeing a Chiropractor at age 8 to reduce…read morethe intensity and frequency. I've seen a chiropractor in multiple states over the past few decades and was referred to Kevin Fitzgerald by my physical therapist. I desperately needed to be seen this week as I had a migraine that has lasted 9 days. I called to set up an appointment on Tuesday and was able to get one for Saturday at 10:15. My physical therapist even took the time to email Kevin about my situation as he knows the level of pain I have been experiencing. I showed up for my appointment 10 minutes early - no paperwork was sent out ahead so I knew I would need to fill it out in the office. The paperwork is extensively long and some is redundant. It took me 20 minutes to fill it out, which means I was already past my appointment time (I was not given a heads up to show up early for the paperwork - having been to multiple chiropractors in my life I knew it would be expected). I had noticed a number of patients filling up the office - and very few leaving. It appeared some were showing up without an appointment. At 10:40 I finally asked when I would be seen. I understand a slight delay, but as a new patient this was not setting a positive experience. I was told there was one more person ahead of me although I had an appointment for 10:15!! I was also told this was normal for Saturday and was not the standard during the week. I stated that it would have been helpful on the phone to know that I might not be seen for 45-60 minutes, as my time is also valuable. Why did I even book an appointment if I couldn't be seen in a reasonable amount of time? I left knowing that future appointment times would likely not be honored and super disappointed the one things I needed this week to get pain relief would have to rescheduled somewhere else. If you're trying to get a new chiropractor go somewhere else. This place has some obvious operational issues that will cost you a significant amount of time. There are many more chiropractors in the area (I had two other referrals when I made this appointment but wanted someone that could support the work I was doing with my physical therapist). There were 6 patients that came into the waiting room after me (with one before) so they need to make some adjustments to their Saturday hours or number of available chiropractors (or stop letting walk-ins get ahead of your scheduled patients).
