I've had the pleasure of doing three photoshoots with Kim, and I couldn't be more satisfied with his work. I booked Dada photography for my babies's newborn session a few months ago. I trusted Yelp and it did not disappoint! The shooting experience was awesome! The photographer and his wife were so well-organized and creative. They are so good with calming my baby. We just followed their leads and didn't have to do much. Even when my baby needed a quick feed in between they took care of that too. I appreciate their punctuality, proactive communication, and detailed planning. I love their props! Kim and Tomo were good listeners. They were able to create all the shots I requested, in addition to those with their concepts. They also used some of our flowers in the garden for one concept which made the experience so memorable for us. We live with some extended family and Damda photography was so kind to include them in the shoot as well (with limited number of shots of course cause the focus is the new born). Other photographers would charge for an additional person from my research. The post-shoot process was well explained. I received two sample photos the day after and then the whole set of photos were delivered within the promised time. The pricing is very competitive. You get access to your full collection of edited photos (100 for us) and can pay additional for higher resolution pics that you like. We signed up for a kindergarten graduation photo session with Mr. Kim and had a great experience. We had a very pleasant experience with Damda photography! We appreciate how reachable and responsive Kim was. He listened to every question we had and responded to everything we asked or were curious about. He took note of the specific shots we requested in our emails prior to the shoot. (They did need a reminder at the shoot to do those shots, yet that can be expected when you have unpredictable infants involved.) Both Kim and his wife Tomo are warm, thoughtful people. We trusted them with our newborns and even learned some tricks on how to soothe without a pacifier. The photos they took are beautiful and make us smile. We purchased extra ones because there were so many quality pictures. What compelled us to book with them was the beauty of their website and sample pictures and how warmly they treated us during our inquiries. It seems the world of Baby Photography is high priced. Amidst that, we thought Damda offered competitive pricing while performing high-quality work. If we had to do it again, we would request to see the entire collection of possible poses for newborns in advance and try to request which ones to do at the photoshoot. Only on 'the day of' did we discover the extent of the beautiful, artistic layouts this couple can create (we would have asked for the stork shot, it's just so stinkin' cute) upon a passing glance at something on Tomo's phone. It's probably not possible for them to share ALL their possible poses, but I recommend trying because you never know what will take your breath away until you scour a portfolio. As a new mom, I was very anxious about having this done since my baby was about 4 weeks old at the time and could be fussy out of nowhere, but Kim and Tomoko made everything so calm and professional. I was referred to Kim and Tomo by a friend and we had a wonderful experience photographing our first baby for her newborn shoot. They recommended a good time to photograph newborns are around 2-3 weeks old and we messaged them through their Instagram account and they responded right away and were able to fit us in the next day when our baby was just about 3 weeks old. They came to our house to do the photoshoot which was extra convenient for us as we are new parents and barely able to get out of the house. They brought all the clothing, cute accessories, wraps, decor for the baby and were great at soothing her to quickly take photos. The whole session took about 2-2.5 hours from setup to finish. They are really a really nice couple and I loved their creativity and direction with how they would dress our little one. Would definitely recommend!
