They where pretty booked up but the managed to get me scheduled about 3 weeks out which was perfect because I had just ordered the swig set and it was delivered in time for them to start the project. Hired these guys to install a LifeTime swing set I bought online. They scheduled about a week out, showed up on time, and the 3 guys that came out were able to put the set together in less than 4 hours. It would have taken me 4 days. These guys were real pros. They spent the first hour organizing everything and getting everything ready for assembly. They also dug in certain areas of the set to level it out (our yard slopes a bit). When they were done, they cleaned everything up and put the boxes and trash by our trash cans. These guys weren't the cheapest but were definitely worth the money. To say I had a disappointing experience is an understatement. I used them based on Yelp reviews and the fact that when I phoned them, the owner Austin seemed really nice and knowledgeable. We ordered the Mountaineer play set in October to be delivered and set up on December 27th for our Granddaughters Christmas gift. We did this extra early to ensure it would be set up right after Christmas when we were flying to Texas to see them (we are from CT). I talked to the owner Austin several times - he encouraged me to purchase the set through him vs. directly through Gorilla, which I did. I checked in several times and we were excited to be there to see the girls play on their gift. On Thursday December 26th I got an email that said the set was not going to be installed as promised because they did not have our equipment. The email blamed the freight company and he said he reordered it but was unsure when they would have it. Again, I ordered it in OCTOBER...paid for it in November...I was stunned and extremely disappointed. I called Austin as soon as I saw the email and he said "it was out of his hands and he would keep me updated when he knew more. He should have more information on Friday". I was really disappointed, but was hoping they would get it in ASAP. On Friday I never heard from Austin as promised. I sent him an email asking for an update and then another asking if he was going to compensate us for this in any way. That email too went unanswered. Meanwhile my 3 granddaughters did not quite understand why they were not getting their present - since I had given them a wrapped picture of it already and we had nothing for them. On Saturday, after not hearing back on my emails and Austin not contacting me I sent a text message asking for my money back. He replied to that "ok, when we get in the office on Monday"... There was no apology or anything. On Sunday, after not hearing back on my emails and Austin not contacting me I sent a text message asking for my money back. He replied to that "ok, when we get in the office on Monday"! On Monday he sent an email saying they did the refund and he was sorry. Then he sent another email late Monday morning saying he wanted to explain and that they were planning to install the set that day but then I requested my money back. REALLY...how would I have known that since he never contacted me??? This was over $3,000 I might add, and since we did it so far in advance, I find that completely unacceptable. If he was truly sorry, he would have kept in touch, and/or apologized and offered us something for the inconvenience...he clearly did not care about his customer. I will be contacting Gorilla to let them know about my experience and why they lost a customer. Oh and by the way - I called Backyard Discoveries and ordered a similar style - I received multiple emails regarding the tracking of the order and within 9 days IT HAS ALREADY BEEN DELIVERED and the setup is scheduled for this Friday....WOW what a difference!!! read more
