When it comes to off-licences, I don't ask for much generally. I like them to sell me alcohol. I like them to sell it to me fairly cheaply and without too much fuss. I like them to have a front door so I can get in and a roof so I don't get wet if it's raining.
So when I visit places like Daley's, I'm not expecting much from them as my expectations are particularly high. At Daley's, they have a small selection of beers, wines and spirits on offer all at fairly competitive prices as well as soft drinks and a few snacks.
But one thing I'm not keen on there though is that everything is behind those plastic screens, meaning you have to browse the different offers without actually being able to go near them at all until you've paid for them. I understand why certain places take such steps, it just puts me off going in them really. Especially when there's another off-licence just down the road less than two minutes away from here. read more
