My mom and I traveled to our home city of Stockholm this May, and on our first night there we stumbled upon this gem. It's a little hidden off the main street that's full of bars and restaurants, and once you slip in through the door you can relax in the great atmosphere they have got going on here. Dimmed lights and as is typical of Swedish restaurants, quiet conversations. Outside seating too!
We were seated right away as it was a Thursday, and ordered in a glass each of I believe the Malbec. I then got the majskyckling and my mom trout I think? Both were very good. I loved my chicken and the sauce was amazing.
We came back the following week and made reservations this time since it was a Saturday. We unfortunately had a late lunch on our way up to Stockholm from a visit to Öland, so weren't super hungry but still went all out. We started with fatöl for both of us and I got the grilled halloumi for my appetizer which was a meal in itself, while my mom got the toast skagen. We then ordered in the plank stek which was filet mignion and it was served with vegetables, roasted mashed potatoes, and bearnaise. So amazing! We had a glass of red wine with our meals as well. Needless to say we walked out stuffed.
Now onto the service. It was incredible! There was one waiter (can't remember his name, boo) that we had both nights and he was so sweet and attentive. The rest of the staff was great as well.
Highly recommended for those in Stockholm - I will for sure be back. read more
