Soft Serve Mr. Freeze, Toledo, OH
    D D.

A long time favorite that has really dropped off. I give out 2 stars because the staff is always wonderful at this location. If it weren't for that, they'd get 1. Our family has been going here for as long as I can remember. Any time we'd drive anywhere near the Pompano area, or just because we wanted a special treat from them. But over the years the size of the soft serve has become almost non existent! I wish i had a picture of my last serving some time last year. I swear it was about an inch high for a kids cone. All while the price increases! I will include a picture of Mr. Freeze in Toledo, OH where for about $3-4 the soft serve was about 6" high, and that was bc I had to beg her to stop going!! Point being, Dairy Queen: BE GENEROUS! And keep your customers.

This dairy cream has been here for years. They have a nice drive thru that moves quickly. We stopped in the other night before going for an evening ride to look at Christmas lights. We love there soft and creamy ice cream cones dipped in chocolate. It made the ride really nice while looking at beautiful lights.

Can't remember the last time I was at a dairy queen... this one is conveniently located on federal highway. You order at the window and choose an outside table. Some are under cover and even out of the sun. They do a big kid's business and lots of tourists stop by. But at lunch, they are even busy with locals. We were there at an off hour so rubbing shoulders with tourists in bathing suits and shorts. Just craving a taste for a dessert snack , I opted for a vanilla soft serve cone dipped in chocolate. The hard shell was a nice contrast to the soft vanilla and yes, I peeled off the paper holder and ate the cone! Usually in the past I order one of their sundaes... I know I'll be back when in the neighborhood -- for a taste of my childhood -- just forgot that I really Ike them and prices are not outrageous considering how pricey gelato and premium ice cream places the today.

Had a craving of a dipped cone so I came to Diary Queen! I tried the orange dip which to be honest wasn't a strong orange flavor. I don't know if it was at end of the container or whatever they use. You can see the orange is not even bright. I will be back again to try another one or have a chocolate one. Sometimes they have a line but today it was no other customers so I was in & out. Staff was friendly & quick.

Visiting Fort Lauderdale for the day, I came across this Dairy Queen while driving north on Federal Highway in Pompano Beach. Modern, clean and efficient - I ordered a 16 ounce Peanut Butter Malt at the drive-thru window. Service was friendly and polite, malt was made just right. Total price out the door was $3.17, including tax. From my vantage view in the parking lot, the place is very clean compared to the rest of the neighborhood. Plenty of parking and easy access to north/south Federal Highway. Not too sweet, the malt was made just right. William E. Lewis Jr. Vero Beach, Florida.

Usually love this Dairy Queen. My family has been coming here for years. But tonight, boo hoo, I'm sad . My sister picked up chicken sandwiches, and no chicken. ‍. Tried calling them but no ones answering. Oh well.

The platters are reasonably priced for the amount that you get and the place is spotless. The service is wonderful and worthy of restaurant vs fast food a quality. This location has a giant drive through, so it seems like it can handle a lot of drive through orders, although it was not very busy when I came. In terms of dining in, there are more tables outside than inside (the inside dining area is actually kinda small). All of the staff were super friendly and helpful, and my order came out quickly and piping hot. In terms of Raising Canes in general, I feel like Raising Canes is kinda like the In-N-Out of chicken restaurants. The menu is focused on a small set of foods, and those foods are done well. I'd only give it four stars though because I prefer other places' tenders and the food options they offer more, specifically the sauce options (I'm not the biggest fan of the Canes sauce). But the Texas toast and French fries are really good. On a sustainability note, I'd also wish they didn't serve everything in styrofoam containers. I feel like there is a more sustainable and Earth friendly option than styrofoam.

The staff here at Pollo Campero are very nice especially Marisela. She was so very friendly and when my food order was ready she walked it over to us. This restaurant was neat and clean and they have a good amount of tables if you want to eat in. I placed my order for takeout only. A customer who had eaten here 19 times told me to order their Fried Chicken.Everything is made fresh. Based on his recommendation I did. I placed my order for 3- 3 Piece Meals that consisted of a Breast, Thigh, and Wing. It came with a choice of a side. I chose 2 of their Campero Rice side, and 1 of their Baked Beans side. I also ordered an order of Chicken Nuggets, a side of Coleslaw, Yuca, and Sweet Plantains. I thought the sides could've been bigger, I'm used to bigger sides, and you definitely need to get multiple sauces for dipping the chicken, and Yuca. The Yuca was very a bit plain and needed a dipping sauce. I'm used to a garlic dipping sauce. They also sell Roasted Chicken, Chicken Nuggets, Chicken Sandwiches, Chicken Empanadas, and at some locations a Campero Bowl. If you order a 4 piece meal you can order 1/2 Fried Chicken, and 1/2 Roasted Chicken, or you can order just Fried or Roasted Chicken. The Fried Chicken was really good. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It had a crispy exterior, and the inside was very juicy and good. Even the Chicken Nuggets I tasted were delicious. They were all White Meat and some of the best i've tried. ( I highly recommend along with the Fried Chicken.) FYI make sure you ask for dipping sauces, It wasn't offered and I didn't know to ask. One isn't enough. My bf got their Campero Sauce, and their Ranch Sauce, both were good. If you have kids order their Chicken Nuggets and Fries. For Drinks they sell Horchata, Mango, and Jamaican along with Soda and Bottled Water. Pollo Campero has plenty of free parking. There are a few Handicapped Parking spaces and this place is wheelchair accessible. I want to try their Roasted Chicken and their Chicken Empanadas, and of course their Fried Chicken Sandwich. What I especially love is that they partner with Saint Jude's Children's Hospital. They are very community oriented. Pollo Campero also does Catering. I will definitely be returning

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The environment is fun, and there are plenty of clever artifacts and photos to engage the eye. On to the food... we ordered the Southwest bowl and the lox bagel. As you can see from the pictures, the portions are sizable and the value for this area was decent. I think the total bill was around $30 for two entrées, a tea, and tip. The bowl has beans, tomatoes, avocado, potatoes, eggs, and cheese. It comes with a Mexican sauce and sour cream. We used a little of the sauce, as we found the dish a bit bland. Both eggs and black beans needed a little salt to enhance their flavors. While it was good, it was very soupy. The beans were not drained well, which I'm guessing--combined with the tomatoes--caused it. The lox bagel was beautiful but very hard to eat. The owners might want to consider dicing the tomatoes, onions, and cucumbers, as there's no way to eat this without deconstructing it. The salmon was good quality. Next time, I'd get a seasoned bagel instead of plain--it would probably be epic on an everything bagel. There are many other options for breakfast or lunch, and we would probably come back to try something different.

Despite that, we decided to order food and planned to sit outside to avoid the odor. We paid for our meal and then waited... and waited. The employee behind the counter was calling out order numbers, but ours was never called -- even though many customers who ordered after us received their food before we did. After standing there for quite a while, he finally asked if we needed help. I explained that we were still waiting for our order. He checked with the kitchen staff, and they responded dismissively in Spanish. We continued waiting while more orders were being called, but no one seemed to care about us or follow up. Eventually, I went back to the cashier and asked to cancel the order. He responded with irritation and said our order was canceled in a rude tone. We ended up leaving and going to another restaurant, where we received great service and excellent food. Overall, this was a frustrating and unpleasant experience. Poor service, lack of communication, and an unwelcoming atmosphere -- I would not recommend this place.
