They wouldn't let us make separate orders when my friends and I were paying for our own food, I don't understand how this is difficult to do

Slowest service ever... Don't waste your time there. Just a bunch of rude immature children who don't know anything about manners.

Prior to calling to place my order, I went online to check out their available specials. They advertised 2 Medium 2 Topping pizzas for $8.99 each. Sold! I proceeded to order my two, only to be told there was no hand-tossed crust available and there would be an upcharge for original pan crust. So okay, no big deal.. Pizza Hut has long been my favorite, I figured the quality would offset the cost difference. Imagine my surprise when I open the boxes and find two small, rectangular pizzas that can in no way be equivalent to a standard medium, 8-slice circular pizza. In looking at it, one can clearly see how tiny it is and that at LEAST half of the pizza alone is crust. Almost seemed like they're deliberately making the pizzas rectangular now in an effort to cheat their customers out of pizza. I also got a single order of breadsticks, which unfortunately no longer come with a large marinara sauce but a teeny tiny solo cup worth. A 2-liter of Pepsi & two garlic sauces later, my order was just shy of $36. All in all, taste was 5.5/10, definitely not as good as I remember. For what I paid and what I received, I can't say I'll be back anytime soon.

It was lunchtime in July 2026 and my boyfriend was surprised to learn that I had never been inside…read moreof a Portillo's before (I once got a shake at their drive-thru about a year ago though). So our lunch location was quickly chosen and we went in. Immediately, I was surrounded by vintage Americana memorabilia, reminiscent of a Route 66 diner, in a VERY large space. The shock of the decor was intense yet very exciting! So if you are unaware, this location is one of 107 Portillo's around the US and is a fast-casual hot dog restaurant chain based founded in 1963 out of Chicago. This location opened in 2018 and is one of 6 locations in Indiana. The food is like Five Guys if it specialized in hot dogs instead of burgers and if it went for a maximalist decor concept instead. For lunch, my bf and I ordered: 2 Chicago dogs $3.99 each, 1 Char'diniera dog $4.99 (a pepper and cheese stuffed hot dog), 1 side salad $5.89, and 1 order of onion rings $3.89. The prices are not too bad in my opinion! It took about 5ish minutes for our order to be ready. I thought the meat and bun were of quality and the salad was generous with cheese. My bf loved the limited-time-only Char'diniera hot dog and thought it was one of the best fast food hot dogs he had ever had! High praise indeed haha! Personally, I've had better Chicago style dogs but enjoyed Portillo's version very much. Neither of us had the calorie budget for one of their cake milkshakes - where they put AN ENTIRE SLICE OF CAKE INTO A MILKSHAKE. And yes, it is an incredibly gluttonous 1500 calories. RIP to whomever gets one of these more than once! Overall, I had a good time and a pleasant experience and I will definitely have Portillo's again.

The staff were not friendly or able to well describe the food we almost ordered a BOX of fries for $20. Vs the Large fries that was plenty for us. We both found ourselves catching glaring looks from the staff that was awkward . It feels like we're just in the way, 'can you move so I can clean that table.' The beef and sausage bowls were ok, a bit of a soup and the beef was gritty. The sausage was fantastic! The fries were too salty for my bride, but I liked them and the cheese sauce was good. The Chocolate shake was tasty ! Overall not sure I'm heading back, but give it a try maybe your experience will be better.

We decided to enjoy a Friday afternoon treat at The Chief Creamery in Granger. We have been here…read morebefore but it's been a while, so there was some news items I didn't remember from my prior trip. We were greeted nicely as we came in, and we're happy to see it was not overly busy as we know it can be! We had someone who needed No sugar added ice cream and she was happy to know there was 2-3 options available. She chose moose tracks and loved it! She said it was of course not as good as the "real deal" in her words but delicious and creamy in its own right. My 13 year old had her go-to chocolate, which was gigantic! I had a little taste and it was creamy and sweet! I chose the espresso/coffee house flavor of the day: it was magic! Chocolate pieces and rich espresso flavor was amazing! They gentlemen working the counter were very friendly and polite and the facility felt very clean and welcoming with big wood tables for large groups. I liked that they had a coffee house/sandwich shop added which I did not remember from before. I will have to return and try a grilled cheese panini sometime . I highly recommend the chief for a delicious weekend treat with the family!

My wife got the Peanut Butter Oreo. Did I make a huge mistake? Yes. Yes, I did. The mint chocolate chip is delicious and all, but they nailed it with the PB Oreo. I had a borderline existential crisis right there. What had I done with my life? How many times have I overlooked the PB Oreo? Who is Kafkaesque? I don't know him. In case you're not picking up what I'm putting down--the PB Oreo is the way to go. Now that I live in Kansas, this place is all the more special to me. Whether this one or the one on Lincoln Ave--they know what's up. The Chief is a staple for the Michiana area. The service. The people. The flavors. Yes, please.
