I ordered a flame thrower and a six piece hot chicken strip and bought ice cream for later. The flame thrower was fine but the chicken strips came out with bbq sauc I politely asked if they could remake the strips and they agree. I know the girls were busy but they botched the strips again. Myself without knowing the debacle gave the girl a ten dollar tip because remaking my order seemed impossible in their eye. Was served by an older lady with no teeth, but she was chewing gum while making my order which is against Serve Safe guidelines for sanitary conditions. Also, she did not tell me the total of my total purchase nor did she count back my change - was it a guess? Also, why are they asking if we want chicken strips before we order, that's not the way to upsell, they need to wait to see what we order and add a desert to the meal or larger size. Ordered sm. root beer float and the cup was more than half brown foam. Not much ice cream and less ice cream that should have been for $4.49. Ordered lg. Oreo Blizzard for $6.69 and it came more than an inch down from lip of cup. Employee didn't use metal ring for mixing ingredients and did not turn it upside down when finished. I asked if this is all I get for $6.50 and he said 'Yep'. While eating the Blizzard, the Oreo was only mixed half way down and the bottom half of the cup was all vanilla ice cream. Me and a friend were passing through, and we decided to hit up this dairy queen. I wanted to get a side of ranch with my burger, but they forgot it when we were going through the drive thru. I went inside, and politely pointed out the mistake, only for an employee to demand to see my receipt, unnecessarily rudely. I show them it, and they still up charged me, for a mistake they made. Nice Dairy Queen. It took awhile for them to notice us at the order area and it took a long time to get our food. The food was totally up to what I expect from Dairy Queen. Haven't been to this location in many years because of the service and substandard food. Bad idea to try again. Ordered crispy chicken sandwich and flame thrower burger meals. Got our drinks at the drive thru but had to pull around front to get our food. The time it took was short but the chicken was tiny tiny and the fries were barely warm, soggy and disgusting. On Thursday,December 15, 2022, I placed an order for an ice cream cake with a young lady named Erin. She wrote down exactly what I wanted and assured me it would be ready for pick up on Saturday. I even offered to pay for it at that time but was told no. Pay at pick up. When my husband arrived on Saturday he was told I only looked at the book. No birthday cake order was placed. me and my mother went through the drive-through at this Dairy Queen just now and we were met with a very disrespectful man. Unfortunately, we were unable to get his name but his customer service skills were all terrible at best! to begin with dropped he dropped my mothes phone and then did not even apologize just huffed and puffed about how long it took her to grab it underneath our car. And then we got a strawberry sundae and he didn't put a lid on it so we asked for Lid and again he was very disrespectful about that. The whole entire experience he was very short with us along with his nasty attitude.. towards the end he tried to slam the window, basically telling us goodbye. Being tired of McDonalds and BK, we tried Dairy Queen and found it much better. My cheeseburger was very good. Thick meat and sauce covered the whole thing not like the little dab in the corner like the others. They offer a wide menu including onion rings which were delicious. Went into the drive-through trying to purchase an ice cream cake. I was told that they can no longer sell ice cream cakes through the drive-through after waiting at the speaker for five minutes. I asked if they would make an exception since three cars had got in line behind me and I was unable to leave. They said that the manager told them no. I had my wife exit the vehicle and walk inside approximately 15 minutes later I was able to get out of the drive-through and she still had not been helped despite only two people being in line in front of her. We ordered at the drive-thru and were instructed to pull around the front and wait. Our food took approximately 15 minutes to get to us, during which time we observed the person bringing food out to customers lock himself out of the Dairy Queen 3 times. Each time he had to wait for someone to come out of the food prep area to open the door for him. However the worst part is that during this time of COVID-19 they mixed up our order with an elderly gentleman's order. Once they figured out the error, they didn't offer to prepare a new order for me or the elderly guy but instead just "swapped" our food even though we had opened and touched each other's food. I really think this place needs new staff and management. On a previous occasion, the simple order for two people I received while ordering inside was completely wrong. I told the girl at the counter of the mistake which she went to the back to tell the cook. During this time I was waiting I did not see her again, but just another employee come to the window to hand off orders to the drive thru. I watched as four vehicles ordered and received their food before mine. Seeing how twenty minutes came and passed and no one even came to the front counter I sat my wrong order down and left. This was the first bad incident with them I have had. The second was while I was pulling up the the drive thru I saw four employees outside by the front door having a smoke break while they all stared as I pulled in. I came to the order box, but no one answered me after I tried again and again. I was in a very short mood to deal with bad service that day so I pulled up to the window but saw no one inside. As I was leaving in absolute irritation all four employees were lighting new cigarettes still in the front. I can't help but wonder what the DQ policy is about having the entire staff out on break at the same time. We were excited that it was under new management. We thought they would actually serve chocolate ice cream regularly. Before the new management, getting chocolate ice cream went from them only serving it before a certain time, to only on the weekends, or it was always broken. Apparently, it is really hard to maintain chocolate ice cream over vanilla. The functionality of the machines must be extremely different with the slight ingredient changes. This DQ is terrible. I downloaded the Yelp app JUST so I could leave this review. The only time they serve chocolate soft serve on Saturday and Sunday and not past 6pm! And they randomly block off the drive thru with an employee car whenever they feel like it or are short staffed, which is incredibly unprofessional. Possibly the worst run Dairy Queen in the world. A 30 min wait for a brizzard? This is obviously local run as the staffing was not professional. The line was long with only one person working the counter. She was constantly telling people that they were out of different things and that they did not take national promotions. The very large and obvious ice cream cake cases were all empty and there were no utensils, napkins, condiments or drinks available except behind the counter. She charged one father for three waters with their 19$ in blizzards. It seems obvious that is all for cost cutting measures which is ironic when the store was packed and people backed up at the drive through. I will never come here again. read more
