What is really good: - the €30 appetizer-main-dessert, valid during weekends - the wine pairing - they position themselves as wine cellar, and they deserve it, we had excellent advice and drank perfect €4.50 wine glasses - the main dishes - tender meat and veggies, excellent sauce and beautiful place What could be better: - appetizers a bit underwhelming (raw salmon but way too much citrus-y things on it, green peas soup a bit too neutral) - same sides for all the mains - tables veeeery close to each other - you will hear your neighbors' conversation, and you'll risk a catastrophe when sashaying your way to the WCs... read more

Crowded little restaurant with a super waitress that attends all of the table. Plates are huge portions here but delicious. The course menu option at this place is too much food. But well made nonetheless. I had the trout tartar for starters and a lamp dish that was excellent for main course. Must make reservations beforehand. read more

After another delightful day in Tours, we selected Dagobert for dinner. The restaurant is very charming, with an eclectic decor of memorabelia from the last 50 years or so. They have 2 dining areas and we selected the one near the open kitchen, which is very tiny for a restaurant this size. The menu has formules which are very reasonable. We decided to get one with entree/plat and one with plat/dessert and to share. We got the mushroom soup with hazelnut cream. What a delight. There was basically hazelnut whipped cream on top of a thick mushroom soup. And it was just about the mushroomiest thing ever. Warning, it was very rich. Then I got scallops on a bed of mashed potatoes with veggies all around. The scallops were cooked perfectly--just to the point of doneness end not a second more. Hubby got duck and it was a huge portion. He said it was excellent, partly because they ask how you would like it done, but it was really too much to eat. His tiramisu was a bit too "specaloosy" but still very good he said. I don't drink wine but he said it was very good. We definitely recommend this restaurant. read more
