In a word: colourful. I might have noted Dagmar Rousset down in my Moleskin as purveyors of 'French stuff. Oh, and Opening Ceremony' but what is immediately obvious about this little French fancy on Gertrude Street is just how colourful it is. From its neontastically expressionistic frontage to its technicolour clothing, Dagmar Rousset is one colourful little boutique.
Ok, its clothes aren't really my style - being arguably a little on the cutesy overgrown child spectrum design wise - but in stocking a range of hard to find designers such as Eley Kishimoto, Hopeless Lingerie and the suggestively named Take Off Your Clothes, what Dagmar Rousset does it does très well.
These fullas also ostensibly offer some pretty good French courses meaning that even if your style is more Emily the Strange than Rainbow Bright this charming little shop is likely to have something other than an awesome window display to take your fancy. Viva France! read more
