But that's not what I'm writing to you about -- I'm writing because shopping at your store was a great experience! ...from the moment we stepped through the door of Guff and were greeted (by Schroeder) to being assisted with checking out the table/being shown how the drop leafs work (by Schroeder) to paying for the table and a couple of ceramic cups and saucers (the latter just having arrived/but Schroeder looked them up/"no problem") to having our table prepped for pick up (by Paul and Schroeder) to being greeted the next day with a smile (by Paul) to the assist with the table being lifted into the back of our SUV (by Paul) ...it could not have been a better experience!! We will definitely be back -- AND we'll pass on to everyone we know and then some, what a great place to shop Guff is!

The repair was done 'in house' at Green's Antiques and I couldn't be more happy with the result. The chairs look like the original and the antique paint finish touch up is impossible to tell from the original antique paint. Bev promised her "guy" would do a great job and he did! He locked the door behind us. I have never been treated like this before in my life. It was weird. I wondered if it was because my husband wasn't white. However, the Estate Sales Ontario owner had promised us that she would dispose of any unsold items in my brother's apartment. (This promise was also on her website at the time.) This did not happen. We were left with one week to dispose of various large items ourselves in a difficult time of Covid. The owner promised a prompt reckoning and payment from the auction. This also did not happen. It took several months and repeated reminders for any payment to arrive. The owner told us she had "overlooked" our payment because she was so busy. I live in another province. It took three months for items I bid on to arrive. Expect politeness and promises when you first talk to this owner but little follow-through. Very disappointing service.
