The specials were mainly seafood although they did have other dishes. The dishes we enjoyed were: - the Tuna tartar (wonderfully clean flavours) - the fish soup (excellent) - the chef's antipasto (delightful section of small dishes) - the grilled Dorado fillet very nicely done - the grilled fish plate (2 kinds of grilled fish fillets and some grilled prawns excellent) - the spaghetti Bolognese (the ragu is something to behold.. deep flavourful) - the Tiramisu (very tasty and surprisingly light.(like it is made with mouses)) On top of this very friendly service (even tough we were a bit underdressed) really made this one of the highlights (if not the highlight) of our trip to Oberhausen. We will definitely try to return here next time we visit Oberhausen..

I would not be hesitant to take business partners or clients there for lunch or dinner. Open at this location since 2011, Al Trullo is one of the few Italian restaurants in Dinslaken that offers more than cheap pizza. In fact, when I visited with a friend, I had the chance to taste both salmon and a ground beef pizza. Both were delicious. But let's start at the beginning: the restaurant is located in a corner building on one end of Dinslaken's pedestrianized Neustrasse. As you enter, you may notice that the building could use a bit more light inside, which is accentuated by the dark, but very stylish furniture. Italian pop music plays in the background without being obtrusive. You can choose your own table. At the time I visited, only three other tables were occupied, so service was very fast (if not overly friendly). Italian rolls, herbed butter and olives seem to be standard complimentary starters. As soon as the main course arrives, you realize that Al Trullo also makes sure that the dishes are visually appealing. This is especially true for fish, but also for pizza. Both dishes tasted the part as well. All in all, I recommend this restaurant for special occasions because of the very good food and the tasteful atmosphere.
