Its quite nice that I can lose my boyfriend while I shop in peace. They always have an appealing window display and the clothes offer value for money without looking tacky. Its quite a well designed store too thats quite dark and classy with plenty of dressing room space and special offers well displayed. The staff are really helpful too. Not really the biggest selection or the most trendy of clothes but good for classics.

The clothes themselves are all very nice, they especially had a good selection of jeans and simple yet pretty evening tops (and at surprisingly cheap prices). However as Anna said they could do with a wider selection. I must admit Vero Moda really, really, reminded me of Armani Exchange, both in store layout and clothes style, but at far more reasonable prices.

Its pretty good to be able to see the full range of their clothes, and its a well presented, light and bright shop. Still for me the clothes never seem worth the extra money, though I will be looking out for their sales.

I found the staff to be most courteous, and helpful, and the hat selection was fairly good. The last wedding my mum attended two people were wearing the same hat as her, so Head Over Heels is the perfect place to go to avoid embarrassing incidents such as this. They also sell clothes which are generally aimed at mother of the bride and older wedding guests. I can't say the clothes were particularly to my taste, but older patrons in the shop seemed pleased. With individuality though, comes higher prices, so be prepared to spend quite a bit of cash.

I don't like how packed in the dresses were because I felt as though I had to skirt around them in order to work around the shop. Whilst…read moreofficially a chain store, the Lipsy in Cardiff definitely gives off the vibe of a cute little boutique. Small in size it may be, but they certainly manage to pack it full of clothes. If you like sparkle and sequins, Lipsy is the perfect place to get that little dress for your next night out. The dresses usually cost around £50 and rising, which is not as bad as many places. But be warned! The dresses here, are incredibly short, and if you don't really like having lots of flesh on display, head somewhere else!

Producing individually designed, well made clothes at exceptionally good prices compared to the commensurate offerings from the top end of the clothing chain shops, this Scandinavian shop has my loyalty! Also after my reaction to some of the other new stores I was worried I was setting myself up for disappointment. Whilst not as good as some of their other stores (London really has spoilt me) Reiss has definitely taken on the role of being the best upmarket high street store in Cardiff. The clothes are of course all perfect; I have already fallen in love with a beautiful silk blazer. The men's selection is however tiny compared to the women's (not that I'm complaining). The individual changing rooms are big (though I wish they had doors instead of curtains), and the staff are all friendly. The only bad thing about Reiss, is that I'm sure I'll be spending all my money there (which is exactly what they want).

That sounds odd, doesn't it? Well, I just feel that for a shop that will charge me so much for clothes I should be feeling that the quality is incredible and that the designs are equally wonderful. Nonetheless, this is a lovely shopping experience, with great service, and for people who have a little bit more disposable income I'm sure it's fantastic. Upstairs this Monsoon has a fantastic selection of sophisticated, elegant formal dresses. In my experience these are perfect for weddings, and proms, summer balls or perhaps a rather fancy garden party. I've come here two years in a row for my uni ball and have always been quite pleased with what I've found.

I was a fan at 12, and my grandmother like to have a pop in. This is because they somehow manage to create a range of clothes in bright, classic and pretty colours which appeal to all. I'm not saying that everyone will like everything, but that there will be something for everyone on most clothes rails. I particularly like their summer dresses and skirts, while their wedding and prom wear is, undeniably, lovely, it's not really the most functional of things in the wardrobe. This store is amazing during the January sales; they discount everything down by at least 20%, and you can pick up some truly staggering bargains. They also have a good home section; I've been a fan of their rose and lily room spray for years. Go check it out if you're not already familiar; it's nice to have something a bit different on every high street.

The selection is good with 'going out' clothes and work clothes too. Quality isn't amazing but probably better than other cheap clothes stores. It's spacious and well laid out.
