I'm tempted to put that the D in D_Store should stand for don't bother. For a large shop with lots and lots of space, there's well just that, lots and lots of empty space. I saw three members of staff rearrange a sofa display and nearly have a coronary over it not being just right. From the bottom up everything is dark, dark wood, dark displays dark floors, dark. Which to me, just seems to suck everything into it. Top down is white, white ceiling, white pillars. Class, sophistication and elegance with an edge seem to be the intended connotations of D_Store. Maybe it's just me but I found the whole store rather unremarkable, whatever looked like it was passable to wear outside was crazy expensive, which is fine, i'm an advocate of paying for quality, but this just didn't warrant it. It also sits rather awkwardly in The Light, who's unit counterparts include the Body Shop, Confetti, Bagel Nash and Starbucks. Meh indeed. read more
