As others have said: reliable, fast and very careful and complete cleanup. We just had them do a very extensive tree trimming and multiple tree removal job on our woodland home that involved over 3 crews, two bucket trucks and a giant chipper. We gave the job to them based on the excellent job they did on a previous removal of a rather large tree that had fallen on our property. Their equipment is up to date, their safety gear and practices for the crews are OSHA compliant. They show up when they say they will and provide a sufficient number of competent workers to the job quickly. As large as the recent job was they were finished within the 4 hour window they said it would take. Darin and his son took care of quite a large job at our home very quickly and very well. They took down some large trees we needed removed as well as some bushes and trimmed up the remaining trees and bushes on the property. D. Ryan answered my call in the early hours of the morning, after a night of high winds partially took down our 80'+ pine tree, nearly landing on our house. He and his crew were courteous and professional from finish to start. They went out of their way to make sure they didn't cause any damage to my yard, trimmed back another tree that was brushing up against our house, and even reconnected my Christmas lights that they had to unplug to access that area of my yard when they were finished. They showed up and finished the job in a very timely manner, even with 40+mph winds and temps that were below freezing. In fact they actually looked like they were having fun! I called to get an estimate on tree trimming. Left a msg and got a call back 2 days later. Made an appt for 830am few days later. Guy never showed up. I called to inquire and was told they were sorry and that I'd get a call to reschedule. No call. Tried them the next day, was told I'd get a call to reschedule. No call. I'll go with somebody else but thanks for causing me to miss a day of work for nothing. read more

Darren and his hard working crew took down 30 large evergreen trees (40 years old and 30 ft) tall in less than 6 hours and there workmanship and clean up was impeccable. I'd recommend D. Ryan Tree Trimming. A company I've been working with for a decade recommended Darren's company, but warned that he's not cheap. That was an understatement, but I feel that I received value-for-money. I've had both good and bad tree trimming in the past - this was definitely better than either. Darren pointed out several issues and made several suggestions for improving both the appearance and health of our trees. His crew, which seemed knowledgable and experienced, trimmed from the ground, climbed into the trees and used a truck with a bucket arm to do their job. When they were done trimming our eleven trees, they spent at least two man-hours with rakes, blowers and gloved hands, cleaning the trimmings from our yard. On the downside was one instance of the usual communication hassle of dealing with a small company. We had a 3:00 appointment for the initial estimate. Darren appeared at 3:40 without a call, an explanation or an apology. On the other hand, he did call in a timely manner to reschedule due to an emergency (tree fell on a house). read more
