Hillstone Pointe Little Elm I recently moved in here and I really would like to share my experience with those of you who are planning to purchase a house here. I worked with salesman Cary Wayne Carr. He is a professional liar. He told me that if I would make an application for a house before June 15th, there would be some incentives (Fridge, washer, dryer and blinds) which I did. It was an great opportunity for me. After process started I asked him if he could add garage door opener in addition to the other incentives via text message, he did not reply me. I gave him a call and asked about it. He refused his words even though he remembered the deadline for incentives. I reported this issue to D.R Horton and asked them to investigate, they did not take any action or even contact with me about this issue. If you have to work with this salesman Cary Wayne Carr ask him to write down when he offers you extra things. Few more warnings: After signing paper-based contract this salesman sent me another e-contact and asked me to sign it again but it was not the exactly same contract I signed at the first time, he removed some parts. Had our first and last house built by these contractors, they are a track home builder not a custom home builder to get those confused. They offered great incentives to move in thats the only thing I will give them, sprinker lines under ground were not cluded, paint is a very poor quality and will rub off if you brush up against it, trees were not planted beneath rock line and now HOA is charging us for dead trees no fault of our own. As far as the landscape there was more building material underground than above, Ive been a contractor myself and have never seen wood and bricks instead of dirt. I could go on on on read more

My husband is multi tour Vietnam veteran, affected by agent orange, currently on a wheelchair with Parkinson's,PTSD,and other illnesses. He has received a grant from the government to build a special adaptive home, we where referred by the V.A. To speak with dr Horton to have the home built. As dr Horton has worked with th V.A. Multiple times building wheelchair accessible homes. I spoke with frank Pryor in the Melissa area, picked out the floorplan,put down earnest, and was assured by frank that this was not a problem and the home would be built. After returning home we received a phone call from frank stating that the home could not be built because dr Horton is a production builder. What I do not understand is that dr Horton has built wheelchair accessible home from San Antonio to Houston to Austin and Waco. But not in the Dallas areas. I have called dr hortons corporate headquarters to get some clarification but have not received any calls back. read more
