Its refreshing to have someone that not only picks up the phone when you call but is knowledgeable as well. Most transmission shops have nobody answering the phone or answering questions and no answering machine and if they do have an answering machine they don't return calls. The dealers is way overpriced and takes weeks to get to you while you're out of a car.

We were driving on 81 north to Manassas when the air conditioning started blowing warm air. Then the low battery light came on. Then some dash lights went out. We knew something was wrong and were just before the Christiansburg exit, so I quick looked on yelp and saw Ashton's Place not far with a 5 star review. So I started calling and Ashton answered and as I was on the phone explaining, the car stopped completely and we just made it into a little store just down the road from Ashton's. He said stay there, I'll walk down to you. He came with a portable battery & got us started. We drove to his shop and he took a look right away, and told us what it would cost and how long he estimated, which would put it past his closing time. He asked if we had somewhere to stay overnight; he assured us he would try and get it done or if he couldn't that night, definitely the next morning. He even recommended a hotel (which we loved!) and asked his coworker, Joe, to drive us there! Near the hotel was a restaurant we were eating. Halfway through dinner he called to say it was ready! They had stayed after closing to finish it. He even brought it to us at the restaurant! I don't know about you, but I've never had better service than that! Not many would go the extra mile(s) he did! Fair prices, outstanding service, honest, friendly... treating you like family. Can't recommend more highly!! Thank you Ashton and Joe. You made our breakdown into a easy, and stress-free experience.

They even took care of me by providing transportation to a local hotel and delivered my car the next morning prior to check out time.

After an hour of trying to find a place that would tow and fix us we thought our trip was going to be over before it began. Luckily we were able to get off at the next exit where I vigorously began searching for nearby repair shops. Of course all the ones I were calling were too busy or could not get through. I then moved to the next shop Tk & C Enterprises Inc and I am so glad I did. Not only did the sweetest man who picked up the phone told us he could got us in, but he even drove down the road to fill our coolant levels so we could make it to the shop. The fix was quick and the prices were very reasonable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs help in Virginia. I am so thankful for everyone at TK & C Enterprises who helped us that day! They turned a really crappy incident in our trip to a pleasant little trip into the town of Elliston, Virginia.

We called the 800 number that directed us to pick up a 20 ft. truck an hour away from our location. We had requested a smaller one, but due to a lack of trucks on this busy weekend we bit the bullet and got it. To confirm everything we called the day before so we wouldn't get any "surprises." Elliot's Garage was aware of the order, and it was correct. The man said that the truck was waiting for us. When we arrived at 7 a.m. the next morning (yes, we left our location at 5:45 a.m. so he wouldn't give the truck away) the clean truck was ready in the lot with the furniture pads we had requested. All went well. I recommend to call here first before you go to a place along the switchback roads of rural PA. Rt. 57 was doable with a long truck. Tip: Don't use the bathroom. From the first phone call to the last step we took out the door we were treated with respect and with honesty. Our vehicle is one that is not that popular in America but that was no challenge for "Brad" the mechanic. ( I wish I would have got his last name because he deserves a gigantic raise and a steak dinner or two after he helped us out.) He popped the hood and immediately pointed out the problem. He also noticed a bit of oil in a place that oil shouldn't be so he said he wanted to look at the vehicle a little closer. I agreed and my kids and I went to sit in the waiting room. The waiting room was nice, it had an adjoining bathroom and lots of toys and a television to keep us entertained while we waited. This place could have taken me for all I had knowing that I needed to get back on the road, but they didn't. The service manager brought us a written quote for the repairs and on it he detailed what was actually "Needed" to get us up and going again and also what was optional but recommended to be done. That right there shows honesty and integrity and I was thankful to have stumbled upon this place in the midst of the cornfields. The receptionist was kind enough to let us use her computer to find a local hotel to stay in since our plans had changed because of the vehicle trouble. There was also a very kind lady in the waiting room who also helped us. All around, the people here were just nice and helpful! Definitely something that is rare anymore in America and when it is seen, it is appreciated. After the job was done, the service manager asked if I wanted to see the parts that were replaced. My husband is a mechanic as well so I agreed to take a look so that I would know what to show him when I got home. Brad took the time to show us what had failed and what he had replaced. He even offered for us to take the old parts with us. It might not have been much to them to offer to show me what was done, but to me it was amazing and they went above and beyond. We have already decided that when we want to get another one of our "specialty" vehicles that we will be custom ordering it from them. We will travel for exceptional service!
