Huge portions... even starting by the glass of wine...

After uncounted dishes with fish we decided to opt for a change. The D Italia is centrally located, the outside deck covered to protect against rain which is highly unexpected here... The staff is exceptionally friendly, from the first minute to our special table request and throughout the full time of service. I ordered pizza with shrimps and they were very fresh and made the pizza a very interesting and delicious meal. My wife had a light Pizza, the inner circle was cut out and replaced with salad - pizza leggera ;) To close the dinner, I was offered a Cappucino or an Italian Cappucino... I ordered the second one and got very nice portughese latte art on it. Happy to visit again!

After eating Portuguese food all week I was ready for a break. Their salad and pizza did the trick. Had a salmon salad which came served on a bed of lettuce, cucumbers, and tomatoes. Then had pizza. Could not make up my mind what I wanted so got the quattro pizza. Basicly four differnt pizzas put together. Ingenious idea. One section had artichokes, one had meat, one had something else, etc. Crust was crispy delicious and fresh. Service was friendly. Waiter made a great wine recommendation. For dessert went next door to the gelato place. Oh, and yes, they do have wifi.

Three visits to D'Italia over the course of our holiday in Sagres. That's testament to the great service and great pizza that they serve. On our first visit here I kept thinking how much better the pizza was here than in The Hangout (sorry Hangout). The service too, they are on the ball and engaging. We had great banter in the second night with them after a difficult day (hire car keys lost at sea, a fun day does not make). The wine was good value too and very drinkable, the house white. Which was a local wine, may even have been a green wine. I had the spaghetti carbonara on the second visit, which could have been better. But the portion was massive, so good value. The pizzas more than make up for it and would be what I'd recommend. Along with their chilli oil, it has an awesome kick to it. For value and good service, D'Italia I'd recommend in Sagres.

Okay service and atmosphere, but food was only so so. The pizzas had a lot of onion and were a little pricey, too.

A very pleasant place with very nice staff. The prices were in line with resort prices and the pizza was very good. Well worth the visit.

House white was good and very similar to a dry Riesling. My mom loved her house rose. -I ordered the spaghetti bolognese for dinner. The pasta was cooked really well and the sauce was pretty good, wish it had more meat in it. I would try something different if I went again. -My mom got the linguini Michelangelo which she loved; prawns were cooked great. The service started off incredible. The entire waitstaff was very attentive to us and all took turns helping each table, however after it got busy we were kind of forgotten about. We had declined dessert and finished our meals and glasses and we just sat there for 20 minutes waiting for the check. Finally we got a servers attention and asked for it but she made us wait another 15 minutes while she bussed a 10-top table. I feel like she could have just quickly gotten our check to get us out of there since we had already been waiting so long but we finally could leave after about 30 minutes of sitting there with not even water.

Pizza's have lovely thin bases with tasty toppings, a good selection of 'set' pizzas on the menu to cater for most tastes and the option to create your own. There is also a 'special' pizza featured each week with a more unusual slant. If pizza is not your thing then you can choose from a selection of pastas and salads with vegetarian options too. Starters are also available but I find the pizza is enough, especially to make sure I can fit in one of the delicious homemade desserts. Special mention has to be made of the coleslaw - it is the best ever!
